"Absolutely loved it..."
I fell in love with this series from the start. The quirky character of Lisbeth with her intelligence and poor social skills is beautifully conceived and written. The Swedish locales made the books seem fresh and different and the plotting was extremely well done. The narration was also first rate. It was bittersweet to read the final chapter knowing that it would truly be the end. I have recommended the series to family and friends. No one has been disappointed although many think the first and last books are marginally better than the middle one. They are all really hard to put down. Bravo, Mr. Larsson, and thank you.
"Great Series with Wonderful Ending"
A moving ending to a thrilling tale. It is tragic that Larsson died so young and will not be able to finish the other 6 novels he outlined.
The reading of all three audible books in the series was superb and enhanced the narrative.
Well done.
"The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest"
Fantastic trilogy. Sorry that it's over. I read somewhere that the books were about women's rights so I was expecting a barrage of liberal drivel out of the NOW handbook. I was happily incorrect. The book does point out predjudices towards women by some of the characters but they are made out to be idiots that need a sharp blow to the side of the head.
I live in Oceanside Ca and also in Ajijic Mexico. I'm very concerned about all the violence that is going on in my little fishing village .
"EXCELLENT"
I HAVE LISTENED TO ALL THREE OF STIEG LARSSON BOOKS. I LOVED EACH ONE. HOW SAD THAT THIS IS THE END.
"An amazing saga"
I love this book, the author and the narrator. That goes for all three of them. I agree with all the raves and positives posted here. It is unique in style, characters and plot.
"put a fork in it"
I listened to the others in the series and wanted a little closure to the tale,
No I didn't
Oh my it does go on. Predictable childish sense of good and evil. Tries to be PC to the detriment of the story, NO SOUL, no opinion just drones on
"Narration ruins book"
Salander with a cockney accent? You've got to be kidding me. All the women's "voices" are breathy and limp. Some books are brought to life by the audible format; this book is totally messed up by the delivery.
"Can't finish it!"
I absolutely loved the first two books. My life was on pause until each thrilling end. But with the hornets next, I've tried four times now to finish but just can't do it. Will someone please just tell me if Elizabeth wins because I'd rather punch myself in the face than listen to more word of this book!
"Great book and great audio book"
Great ending to a great trilogy. I am so sad that Stieg Larsson is gone.
"Great Story!"
I read the first two books in this trilogy and so when I listened to this one I found all the different characters a little hard to follow but the story was so enthralling that it didn't matter!
