When Lucern, wearing a historic costume, got caught on the table cloth and the events that transpired to free him! Oh I laughed so hard while cringing in embarrassment for the poor guy!
This was such a fun read! The entire series is great! I love the characters! Well written and time well spent!

I love The Argeneau Vampires Series, it is intertaining and thy make me laugh and happy after the story is fished and I read it again and I get the same enjoyment out of the story. Lynsay Sands please write a lot more of The Argeneaus and make me Happy.
This book had me laughing out loud in public. I looked like a crazy person and didn't mind at all. Luke was hilarious, Kate was a go getter. I liked the book and can't wait to read MORE.
A Great Read!
I don't really do comparisons… I'm much more of a judge or read by its own merits kind of gal, but if I was to compare, I would say that the Argeneau Vampire Series is somewhat comparable to Molly Harper's Half-Moon Hollow Series. Both are laugh out loud funny to read, but the biggest difference I can see is that Molly Harper chose wisely in her narrator and she has the same one for all of her books. And Amanda Ronconi (I think that's how her name is spelled) far surpasses any of the narrator's that have done the books in this series.
Of the three different narrators that have done the first three books of this series, I believe that I liked Jeffrey Cummings, the best. He has a great voice for voices and he reads with both passion and humor. The only thing that I didn't enjoy about his performance was the voice he decided to use for the main male character was almost abrasive at times and Lucern just didn't sound the way I always thought he would when I originally read the book.
No. It wasn't my first time through the book, so I already knew what was going to happen, more or less, so the inability to put something down once I've started it for the first time wasn't there.
I really loved this series when I read it, but I am now convinced that the narrator can make or break the enjoyment of even a good book. And a series, especially one like this should have the continuity of a great narrator to do all of the books.
this was the first book I first read of hers and have read all of her vampire series. have loved them all and have always got a lot of laughs from them. for the performance I didn't think he is bad. I have listened to other books that the performance was in possible to finish. I rather just read it instead. im hopping so of the other ones are good as I look forward to some of the funniest parts of them.
I am getting older with a younger heart and outlook. Love reading and just began listening to books. VERY avid reader!
I liked the story. At first I thought the two main characters were both rude in their own way. I wasn't sure I was going to like them. Also, I hated the voices! He sounded awful, and Margarite's voice was really atrocious. The last two ha different women narrate the stories. They actually did a better job with the voices. Now that I've said that, there were some really entertaining parts that had me laughing so hard I had tears! As someone who not only loves books, but also uses these audio books as a type of pain management, that is a good thing. Thanks!
What more could one want? In order to avoid spoilers, let me just say that the characters are so well written that their dilemmas and disasters as well as their adventures and amours reach right into a reader's/listener's imagination and heart.
This is also the first book in the series with a narrator who not only understands the characters but is also able to bring each one to vivid life, male and female, principal and supporting.
Oh, and don't start it late or you'll be up all night. This is one of those you cannot stand not to know what happens next!
