great come back can't wait for the next book. I just cant believe WTF Stevie Ray is doing, boy Zoey you had better HURRY!!!!!!! Thanks P.C Cast and Kristin Cast so wich of you is Zoey????
I liked the narrator- have read all the other HON books in ebook so this was my first audio and I thought she depicted each character well. The book did feel a little short like they stretched out the story by telling other people's POV but it was interesting to hear how others saw the same situation. The HON series is a little cheaper pricewise so the books do seem shorter than say a Stephenie Meyer book which costs more. While the story is focused on a teenager as the heroin, it covers topics that all ages (except really young tweens) can relate to so despite being 39 yrs old I love these books. waiting til next year for the conclusion is awful- will keep busy with Richelle Mead and Spirit Bound from Vampire Academy series and hopefully Lauren Kate with her follow up to Fallen by the Fall of 2010. These are all great books - somewhat in this style of Urban Fantasy - if your looking for something til the next HON.
I'm probably too old to love these books as much as I do (32!) but I am completely in love with these characters! Not at all ashamed to admit that I was crying and laughing within the first hour, and it just continued from there. The Characters and story lines progress nicely. I love the way the story was split into multiple character points of view.
My only complaint is that this is the FOURTH narrator for the series. Seriously? Why can't we just stick with one? I like Jenna Lamia and Cassandra Morris the best. JMO.
You know, I am starting to see that everyone has a different opinion when it comes to narrators. This is the first Narrator that I have actually enjoyed listening to in a while! shes very descriptive, and has a pleasant, calming voice. As far as the book itself goes, I am enjoying it to! I do not see it being to "wordy" as other reviews put it. I mean whats a book without words? ^^
I read the first few books in this series and really liked them so I decided to get this one on audio. Well the voices they use in this are almost enough to make you not want to finish. I will either read the others or skip the rest of this series
I love to read and listen to books. I'm a hair dresser. I live in New York and I have 5 children. All grown. 30, 27, 24, 23, 19. And I Love them all very much.
Stevie Rae is falling in love and keeping it a secret. Zoey is shattered, and know one can wake her up. Stark will have to go in to her dreams and wake her up, will it work, you will have to listen.
Absolutely everything. The plot was non-existent, repetitive and boring. The narration was terrible and in places racist. The characters were horrid. The product placement irritating. The writing juvenile and obnoxious, the dialogue unrealistic.
Wow. I have to choose one? Okay - the most disappointing thing about the story is that there wasn't one.
The narrator could have decided not to use the most racist "voice" ever for the African American character. That would have gone a long way toward making this one merely awful instead of just offensive.
Anger. Lots of Anger. I wasn't disappointed, I knew it wouldn't be good, I had been thinking about giving up on the series for a couple of the last installments - this one sealed the deal. UGH! It was TERRIBLE.
Nope. Avoid it. Don't waste a credit or your cash. Try a Morganville Vampires novel if you want good, silly, vampire fun.
