Audiobooks allow book nerds like me to venture out in public and keep "reading."
It took a long time to get into this Reacher book. I know I've said this before - but the books have kind of gone down hill in the past few years - the cliffhanger ending is EXACTLY what this series needed.
Speaker, Coach, Author - in Reno, NV (A GREAT place!) I've been an avid Audible fan for several years. Listen on my iPhone many hours each week.
I've read or listening to all of the Jack Reacher books. Lee Child is not losing any momentum with this character. This was outstanding in every way and Dick Hill (of course) did a superb job. I love his narrations anyway and he was masterful with 61 Hours.
Probably the worst Reacher novel I have heard. Boring, boring, and boring. Absolutely nothing worth listening to for the first 95% of the book. No Reacher kicking the shit out of smartass drunks, no sex(unless it happened when I could not stand it anymore and fast forwarded to the next chapter. And Dick Hill's narration of parts was just painful to listen to, especially his imitation of women talking.
While most Reacher novels are unusual and interesting, this was just a worthless dud.
Like his other books, Lee Child does a great job developing both the plot and the characters. That’s the only good thing I can say about 61 Hours. Everything else is below standards. It’s almost like he or his editor didn’t care.
Again, a most entertaining book by Lee Child with great narration by Dick Hill. The story line is put together well, the ending a HUGE suprise.
