Another great book with hot sex and great action. Narrator is O.K. and could use more inflection with his voice, but overall it was well worth it.Finally the women get to fight..not too shabby.
I just love the sexy men in the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I just can't stop listening to it. The characters have a way of pulling you in with them and not letting you go until their done. I would recommend this book to all who love a hott action packed vampire book.
I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and the audio versions are awesome too. Jim Frangione does a great job bringing JR Ward's world of vampire warriors to life.
I really enjoyed this book. I love the multiple story lines, the characters, and the general flow of the book. However, all the "new-age" slang was a stumbling block for me. A dash of slang is okay, but this book was too heavy with it. And I would've preferred a bit more action with the Brotherhood. But overall it was really good.
Asolutely loved this book!!!! Can't wait for the next one, and hopefully there will be one. I love how well she ties all of the stories together. I have loved all of the books, but I think I like this one the best so far.
This was a great book and well worth the wait. There were a lot of different plots, but it all came together well. Jim Frangione is exceptional so please keep going on the series!
I loved the book! The whole story just came together so perfectly and in the most creative ways! I love John and his woman together!!! The only part I am upset with is that Quinn and Blay are not together... I know eventually they will be but damn I am so upset that they aren't. I was so excited for those two to get together but I'll have to wait till the next book. My favorite book is still Bella and Zsadist but this book comes to a close second.
Like all of you, I love to read, but I am time-limited. Audible allows me to keep up with all my favorite authors. I am currently listening to 'Cold Days' by Jim Butcher.
J. R. Ward/Jessica Bird often has interesting plots in her beefcake, vampire romances but her writing style relies very, very heavily invoking a picture with brand names rather than verbal descriptions. While I realize the use of brand names as a verbal shortcut will be a minor distraction for most, it really bothers me. I was interested in this book because Ward's female characters are often relatively weak and 2-dimensional, but this has not been true for Xhex in other books; so, I was excited to see what Ward would do with a strong female. Unfortunately, Ward didn't do much with her and this disappointment is the primary reason I gave this book two stars. Lover Avenged is probably the best book in this series but we'll see what Ward does with Payne in her next book and hopefully Tohrment and Lassiter in the future.
