A great next step in one of the most unusual crime/thriller series. Both an exciting action thriller and a thoughtful examination of relationships among men. Loved it.
Getting different views on Ty and Zane from the initial story. You really see them outside their jobs and as people
I can't really choose between Ty and Zane because they are so interwoven together as the series goes on. Both are given great life by the narrator
I think the entire book works and keeps moving so well you can't pick just one because once something happens and you go "Wow!" The next plot twist or explosion happens and you're off on the next adventure!
I've had these books in my library for years but just now decided they needed some attention in the form of reviews so these are being written 3 years on and having been listened to over and over again
I have to say that I was only mildly entertained by the first book, but the character development and story line continues to get better. So call me a sucker, but I give this 5 stars and I will buy the next book in the series. Love these guys!!!
The story does tend to lag in places. However, I found it to be quite enjoyable. It could use a bit more hawtness but the story makes up for some of what is missing. I will be getting the next one.
Book 2. Ah, come on. Lost in the woods!!?? Come on boys. Where's the crazy murder investigation a' la book 1?
This story actually made me like 'Cut & Run' more. Unlike the first in the series, this book had absolutely ZERO plot. I did like the page time some new characters got. But let's face it, Ty and Zane's relationship didn't move forward at all. If this is the constant struggle of the series where No one can say "those 3 words" than it's going to get pretty exhausting.
I hate to say this but... I wish the writing matched how much I enjoy the main characters. I could be convinced to read book 3... but so many things need to happen.
And I can't deal with the almost "off page" romance. Ty and Zane's love is portrayed at explosive, and it's just not written on page as such. And while one tedious scene in the woods was quite nice, it does not an m/m book make.
Sawyer Allerde's Ty just does not match up to the Ty in my head. And now with Ty's brother having the same goofy voice, it's even more off putting.
I will probably move on with the series in audio format, especially since there is a new narrator in upcoming books.
2 1/2 stars.
🌺 Lover of Amazing Stories 🌺
I still can't believe how much I love this series. And for some reason the 2nd time around is just as good as the first, maybe even better because I know how deeply Zane and Ty care for each other.
I forgot how emotionally charged this story was for Ty and Zane because they are still building their relationship on trust, kick a$$ action, and a mutual grudging respect for each other.
There is always so much action when these two are together and they are funny as hell!
Definitely in my top 5 mm romance action reads or audio! 💖
I've been reading this book series for a while now and I love each book. This is just another great book. Full of suspense, emotional struggles and love?
I don't know about better, but it was great to be able to work and listen and still follow the story so easily.
Love the guys and the storyline and the laughter and just all of it.
Yes, would in a heartbeat
No it not my type. Just picked wrong cagatory.
I don't like action sfories.
