Get a better narrator.
Most likely not if he is reading it.
He miss pronounces words frequently.
I think this book has great information it's to bad he thought he had to read his own work.
I believe what this book preaches, except it suffers from the fact that there is actually not a ton of things to say, but has been inflated to be long enough to warrant being a book. It is easier to take in paperback, because you can skip the repetitive parts, but with audio books, you cannot.
Logical, clearly explained, researched, practical.
Chapter 8 - exactly what to eat!
Joel Fuhrman's no nonsense advice style.
How few calories are in nutrient dense food thus you can eat as as you'd like and are actually eating less calories than a small amount of junk food.
A reality that I should have awoken to a long long time ago. Excellently written and some much truth. We as Americans are so blinded by billion dollar marketing techniques that sway us for certain truths we already know. Joel has just made it point blank and used no sugar coating to express his research. Hope others find as much pleasure in this truth filled books as I have.
I'm in love with this book! Felt so inspired I took the six week challenge. The author reads, and that gives me a sense of connection. I feel like I am sitting in his office talking to him. The author reads SLOWLY, so I listened at double speed. The book is so awesome I don't mind.
Knowledge is power if applied soon after....
I love that it's condensed with information that are up to date and relevant to a healthy lifestyle! Looking for more books that prescribe whole and rich foods for an energetic lifestyle.... No fad diets will do!
I followed roughly 80% of what he taught in his book and still lost some weight. And the idea of avoiding processed foods resonates with me. Just avoiding those foods is a fairly easy way to lose weight and not feel hungry all the time. I'm not convinced that 100% vegan is the way to go though. I'd also recommend any of Michael Pollan's books on the subject of food and diet.
some authors ought not to read their books aloud.
great info here, but very disappointing that the menus and recipes were omitted.
either a) re-edit this to lose the mistakes, or b) get someone else to read it...and include the menus/recipes.
i feel somewhat cheated by this purchase. Without the menu plans and recipes, which are promoted heavily throughout the book, what is the point? It's all just preaching with none of the useable information promised.
excellent information will definitely listen to again! pdf very helpful
so much valuable information presented in an easy to understand way
