It was good to hear her dish out the important clues to helping one master their metabolism. Looking forward to her radio show starting back up, if the rumors are true. Thanks for a great audiobook.
As Jillian says, this is everything she has learned up to this point. This information is not speculative as many diet and exercise guides are. Jillian tells in her own voice about her journey and how you can use what she learned through hard knocks of experience. This stuff makes sense. It will be tough for her to top this book. She didn't hold anything back.
I like her reading her own book. It gives it that extra edge. I listened to about half of the book and already it was like having a little Jillian as the voice on my shoulder. "Best Choice ___" HAHA! Only a few meals later, though.. I'm feeling the difference!!!
When listening to the book the author indicates that for the audio book there should be a PDF document that is downloaded with this book that has lists and charts that the author refers to throughout the book. There is no PDF document within this downloadable book that I can locate.
I loved the book, loved Jillian Michaels and the information is wonderful. I only wish I would of bought it someplace else. Jillian refers to the PDF that is included with the Audio Book that includes recipes and other nutritional information, that you don't get when you download. Next time I will get by Audio Books from a book store so I know Im not missing out.
I have a background in health and fitness as well as nutrition so while it may be quite technical and scientific in the language used, it did a great job combining all these many different concepts and packaging it into something people can follow. One major criticism would be that she doesn't go in depth on specific foods/lists etc and keeps referring you to the "PDF files that are included with this audio book" but I have no way to access this within Audible. So I have gained overarching strategies to boost my metabolism, but still difficult to put into practice without the tangible lists. Please make these files accessible and then I would be able to give it more stars if this lifestyle change indeed does work.
Her biography was too long. She gave too many details about hormones and not enough practical diet info. I eat clean and exercise 5 to 6 days per week. I was looking for an audiobook to take me to a higher level. I'll keep looking.
This book is too significant and not user friendly. I was disappointed.
That it wasn't useful book. It seemed like Jillian had taken several medical books and downloaded these into her own book.
Some content that goes along with the title. I have seen enough fear-mongering about processed foods, we all know its messed up unless you are from the 19th century. I don't care about the functions of each and every hormone and I certainly dont want to hear about why your mom and dad were divorced and how that made you feel. ALL I AM SAYING IS IF THE BOOK IS 3 HOURS LONG, DON'T EXPECT ME TO WAIT UNTIL THE LAST HOUR TO TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO.

Redeeming qualities? My foot! If you have ever read a health and fitness book in your life it doesn't add any value whatsoever.
Eat organic, natural, fresh foods. Period. There I saved you twenty dollars and three hours of your time. You are welcome!
