While I can't agree with all the claims, there are many elements that cause me to wonder how much more there is to the stories of global conspiracies.
You cannot fairly dismiss conspiracy books without hearing the controversies for yourself. There are many provocative points that one must consider. As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire. I would recommend this book to others.
I don't believe everything the government, nor conspiracy theorists say equally. But I am open to consider all points to make up my own mind.
I liked the way the author ties together the history of conspiracies and events which show a cohesive picture of what really happened over our recent past.
All of it.
The 9/11 portion of the book made so much sense based on only facts that it begs the re-opening of a real investigation however it would also reveal a deeper motivation and agenda.
Look Under the Stones
I would have appreciated a more unbiased review of recent politics as it is clear the author favors a Democrat over Republican slant. A bias of "our side" vs. "their side" is moot considering the subject matter. In addition it comes across as somewhat disingenuous as Obama is obviously a socialist and continuing the decline of the consitution building on the actions of all the past offenders.
Droning, boring narration with odd pronunciations, almost like a computer. Turned it off after 15 minutes.
Couldn't bear the narration long enough to find out.
Couldn't bear the narration long enough to find out.
Never, ever, have George K. Wilson narrate a book unless it's a sleep aid. For that, he would be fine.
Tell us about yourself! I am a 69 yr old female. I love books but due to vision limits I now actually don't read much unless I can get large print. I enjoy books that give me a good story line and move forward at a good pace.
might be better if I could read it myself, but eye sight doesn't allow for it.
can not think of any. I like mysteries and books that make me able visulize the action.
what wouldn't I have
not at all
I like nonfiction, biographies and the occasional novel. BUT I can not pass up a good mystery, crime novel, or really great suspense plot. I am fascinated by an author's creative ability to interweave twists. Since Flynn's 'Gone Girl', the bar for a completely unseen game-changer is pretty high! Challenge extended :)
This may be a decent read but it is very difficult to follow as an audiobook. The author jumps forward, backward and back and forth on subjects.
Yes! There are so many connections between events and people throughout history that I had never really considered
How events I thought were unconnected had common actors in them through out history
All of them!
Ignorance really may be bliss
This is a chilling account of how politics in the USA and rates as one of the best books I have listened to on this topic. The detailed facts presented by the author together with the very direct writing style make the audio book very clear and concise.
The nature of this book dealt in factual people but from history my favorite character was John F Kennedy. I now have a much greater respect and understanding of this president whose honesty and personal strength threatened the corrupt side of government so much they had to kill him. If he had lived and served his term in office much of the problems of the 1960s would not have taken place.
George Wilson presented very clearly and has an interesting voice. Great performance, I listened to the audiobook twice in the week and never grew tired of his his narrative.
My main reaction was total disbelief of how the media and politicians in particular are able to influence the opinions of the general public. Many of the events of history that I was comfortable with have been completely turned on their heads. For example the assassination of JF Kennedy, the Watergate coverup and the 911 attacks just show how a nation can be fooled.
This book is highly recommended for the enquiring mind. When all the facts are put out there, it really shows that the future of the USA in particular is not very encouraging. The power of money and politics has shaped history and politics to the detriment of the American people.
Very informative and disturbing at the same time
How much our government hides and lies to us
The narrator, George K. Wilson, is good, but he drags it on so slowly. It is just the way he reads. I found a setting feature on my sansa clip where I can speed up the vocal speed. That REALLY helped! Put it this way, he is slow enough that when you speed it up, he hardly sounds like a chipmunk.
Great info, glad I can speed up narrator, and scary at the same time. Makes me wonder where this country, or this world for that matter, will be after I am gone from this world. It sounds scary!
Not very interesting. Some of the theories were very far fetched and incredible. I wouldn't recommend.
Yes, I learned a lot of information that I was only marginally aware of. HOWEVER< Jesse's liberal bent and hate for Republicans and conservatives and his inability to see the problems on the left is frustrating. I am not a conservative nor a liberal, but a very frustrated American who hates to see the political nonsense in this country. People like Jesse could help, especially as an independent, but he is obviously more in the establishment than he likes to admit.
Open your eyes Jesse.
