Love these book because it's gives a happy ending to Sam. I love mercy she doesn't give up to on love ones. great book looking forward to the next installment ; )
I love this whole series but this is one I return to again and again. I love the mystery of it - complex enough to be interesting without feeling like I need to take notes or keep a time line. It's the climactic book for Samuel's character arc, which is delightful and gives you a chance to see him as a wolf in a big way, as well as providing a peek at his long ago past. It's an interesting chapter in the developing story of Adam and Mercy's relationship and how that dovetails with the arc of the "personality" of the pack itself.
But ultimately, what brings me back again and again is the feast of great scenes. I have so many parts bookmarked. It's a wonderful book to pick up and re-read when you just want to be taken away for a little while but don't have time for the full novel. The story hangs together well and provides some excellent development all around, And it has great scenes you can revisit without needing to recall all the details of the story. As a chronic re-reader, that makes it a special kind of gem.
Taken by the Faye Queen, Mercy is found by her Alpha after she joins the frayed line between Marcy and her Alpha....such a good and fine message......we love Marcy
