one of the greatest epic fantasies of all time, performed excellently
if you continue on in the series it gets a little tedious in the middle but the beginning and end are among the best fantasy written so hang in there
I live in the Great Lakes State of Michigan. I have a YorkiePoo who I spoil shamelessly. I love reading Urban Fantasy and SciFi Fantasy.
When I downloaded this audiobook I didn't know what to expect. I had heard about the series and the author and had always wanted to read these books. It took some time to finish (its a long book) and I have to say I really enjoyed this story. I also liked all the characters and, contrary to other comments, I didn't find the number of characters to be too many. The narrator was perfect. He used accents and vocal tonal quality to differentiate between the characters so it was very easy to know who was speaking. The only thing I didn't like was the female narrator coming in occasionally. That was a little disconcerting and interrupted the flow. I'm not really sure why they had another narrator. I would have been ok with just the main guy but that's just me. Overall five stars and I can't wait for the next book in the series.
It's a great start to a wonderful series. Well written and the narrator does a fantastic job.
When Rand fights at the end of the book
I hadn't heard either perform before, but they are amazing
No, I listen during my work commute
you've never read or heard this book I highly recommend it it will open your eyes to the world of Robert Jordan The Wheel of Time may it forever turn
Very compelling for guys book. So now I'm downloading the 2nd and I'll let you know how it goes.. ;)
this is an excellent listen. the characters came alive and.i haven't been as attached like this in a long time. I can't wait to listen or read all of the other books in the series.
One thing i didnt understand about the format of the audibook chapters was why two chapters were in one Audio Book chapter. It's the same way for book two (possibly more). I think it would be better to have the chapters correlate with the book chapters.
