No. Already heard it. Simple-straight forward story. I don't think there would be much to gain.
Somewhat predictable. Leaves you hanging though.
The greats... the reader did an amazing job giving each character a distinct voice and maintaining that voice throughout the story.
Creative, Funny & exciting
Actually, that it came from the boys point of view.
Yes, his southern accent is wonderful.
The story kept me wanting to read more. Just when I thought everything might be resolved, another wrinkle was thrown in. Kevin Collins, the narrator, only added to the experience, and he was completely believable. I bought Beautiful Creatures because I've been watching the previews for the upcoming movie and thought it might be good to listen to on the way to and from work. What happened was that I got so caught up that I kept my bluetooth earpiece in even after I got home. I listened to the whole thing in two days. Well worth the price I paid!
It was right in the top 5, well done
no favorites, all the characters were great in their own way.
Yes, he was very colorful and I enjoyed it.
I read the book and a few months later I see it is a move. I was very surprised,
As for a tag line, well I don't know. I just know I am the light.
I enjoyed.this book, Started out a.bit slow.for me but it caught my attention
by the time the watch was found. I loved all the characters in the book.most of
them were to say the least very colorful. once it caught my attention it kept me
there. In the end it let me thirsty for more.
I enjoyed this book very much!
Better story. Essentially the book itself was weak and too clichéd. The authors relied on YA formulas and forgot that a good story shoud have heart.
Not sure yet
Lose the stupid sound effects.
Too many to list. Honestly, half way in I was hoping Lena would just turn dark so it would end.
I would prefer to not waste another moment on this book.
Who needs the mall?
Yes. I loved it and I've already purchased it for a friend.
Ethan. I found his sensitive, funny young Southern gentlemen in love and unwilling to give up very appealing.
Kevin Collins did a superior job narrating this book. He did a fantastic Ethan, but his Amma was truly magnificent.
I wish Lena would have stood up for herself more. The character was young, confused, and troubled, yes, but her near constant need to be saved from everyone and everything grew tiresome quickly. (It didn't stop me from buying every other book in the series this afternoon.)
Ex-military high school math teacher.
I like the play between the supernatural and the mortal worlds, as in many of the other books I read. This was better than twilight.
I enjoyed the magic, and the alternate forms available to the casters and their kind. The small town mentallity was enough to make me angry at times on behalf of the main characters.
Yes, I thought the inflections in the voice, and the town folk were great. The love that the two main characters share was evident, and the message about people choosing their path was clear.
Nothing wrong with the narration, but it could have been better if the female parts were spoken by a female narrator.
Looking to read the second book in the series in a month or so. Lots of other great books to go through still.
The audio version is so much better due to the inclusion of music and the memory/dream sequences.
The Narrator makes me feel like I'm a character in the book. His accents are dead on.
Looking forward to the upcoming movie in Feb 2013!! This series of books are going to be bigger than Twilight.
Beautiful Creatures is in the top 20 of audiobooks I have listened to. The plot flows very nicely and keeps your interest throughout the entire story.
I would compare Beautiful Creatures to the Dresden series with the coming of age wizards in some of those books.
I have not listened to any other performances by Kevin T. Collins.
Normal is never ordinary when family ties split the lines between light and dark.
A very good audiobook. I would recommend this to other listeners.
I came across this by chance in one of audible's great sales. It was surprisingly captivating. I cant wait for the next book. Highly recommend. Very Different.
