Eclipse is my favorite of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series so far. The narrator is perfect to read this book. Her voice mirrors what I think Bella would sound like in real life. She has the intonations down and gets the story across to the listener.
I am addicted to this series of books. Stephanie Myers does a wonderful job of bringing words to life. The way she writes makes me want to read more, but I can't find anything that compares to these books. I can't wait till the next book in the series comes out in August! I thought this would be a book just for teens, but I am 33 and I love all 3 books in this series.
I'm a teen; my favorites series are Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and Twilight by Stephene Meyer.
This is just the best series of books ever!!! Eclipse, the second book in the Twilight series, is perfect. Usually the first book is the best, but I cannot say which of the three books is the best. If you have read/listened to this book and enjoyed it, then Twilight and New Moon are a must-have. A just can't wait for the next book, Breaking Dawn, to be finished!
Wow, I can honestly say I am so disappointed. book 1 great awesome, book 2 kinda sad but still a great story. Book three comes along and WHAMMO! Talk about Greed on the part of the heroin. Up until the end of book three throughout all of the series its been "True Love" between the hero and heroin Soulmates if you will, and suddenly from out of no where she is in the arms of friend kissing him never wanting him to stop. She suddenly switchs her way of knowing within herself and I say knowing because its fact as described by the author they are friends and she only likes this guy only as a friend, to suddenly she's in love with him. It totally betray's everything between the hero and the heroin. She says she loves the hero more and can't live without him but she still is in love with the friend, and that she is going to suffer for eternity because she loves the other guy too.
Litterally from book one up until the point that a switch was flicked and suddenly from out of no where she is in this other guys arms I was constantly saying this is a great series. Not only was I very upset with the heroin with her actions and her greed, but I was saying wow this is now a Soap Opera. Days of Our Lives with Vampires and Werewolves here we come.
Make sure you have time to listen to these books for 12+ hours straight. I couldn't stop listening!!! My school work is suffering because after I listened to the frist (Twilight) I had to download the second and thrid!
Once again, Stephanie Meyer has given us a book that we can't put down (or turn off!)All 3 of the titles in the Twilight trilogy are fantastic!
Bella’s indecision between Jacob and Edward is beyond belief tedious. I can only hope the next book will finally kill the lovely Bella. If she isn’t dead, I may have to do it. I can’t take much more of her as the fragile human emotional sponge. The reading is excellent. The dry sarcasm and humor of the characters is faultlessly pitched.
I loved the book, so decided to get Eclipse on audio. Unfortunately, I'm not impressed with the narration. I have several books on audio and the narrator has made attempts to make the story interesting by changing his/her voice for characters and reading with inflection. This narrator does nothing but read the book - never changing her voice or adding any excitment to the book. It was a better read than a listen!!
"Hi My name is Ali and I'm an Audible addict." "Hi Ali!"
but overall a very slow listen. I am more motivate to see what's inthe books that is not in the movie, that is if I can get through the movie.
