A quick, easy listen. Covers a lot, but pin-points clearly what you need to hear!
This a seems to be a balanced approach that provides rational explanation for recommendations with "testimony" of realized success.
Presentation sounded a bit like a safety or sales training video, but over all, had great pace and tone.
Close. I listened while driving long distance, several interruptions and over night turned off.
Other wise, contiguous listening.
Goofy music was unnecessary and the "Audible" hope you enjoyed tag is silly and poor quality, cheapening the product.
A comment from April 2012 below syays: "REALLY NEEDS THE CORRECT PDF"
I didn't care so much when I bought the book, but now that I have read it, I really want the recipes, shopping lists, charts of which kinds beef cuts are best, and so on, things the are NOT SPOKEN IN THE BOOK, but are refereed to over and over in the book "JUST READ THE PDF TO FIND X. and GET THE PDF ON AUDIBLE TO SEE WHY.."
As has been brought up before, the PDF attached to this title in my library, is the PDF that belongs with the companion book "The Abs Diet Personal Trainer," which is nothing but exercises for that book, and none of the information promised in this book.
This has been commented on and audible has been contacted about for at least ONE YEAR that I can tell, and nothing has been done about it. I may actually use the Audible's return policy for the first time.
As for the book itself, I enjoyed the basic information about food interactions, how calcium can block fat production, and dozens of other practical details. However, as some have noted below, the author delays the information with yet another story about how great the diet is, and some pretty bad jokes. I think after the diet was outlined, someone made the decision to pad the thing with a big heaping of lameness to push it up into the "actual book length" size.
Unless I absolutely felt as though I could not get the needed info elsewhere, I would not repeat another of David's horribly-crafted metaphor-ridden reads.
Am listening to Wayne Dyer
Don't think so....he had trouble with some basic pronunciation.
Slight changes in what I eat and timing. Most of the science and basics I already knew.
I already know how to bash other diets and authors, should I be so callous to do so.
I read this book a few years ago on my commutes to work. It changed the way I lived until I got sick and stopped working out. Getting back on track now with it and am looking forward to losing all of the weight again!
As a new comer to the diet and exercise scene this book was just what i needed. I've already implemented many of David's recommendations, particularly the diet portion.
Wish I had this when I was much younger. Very good read/listen to. Would suggest it to anyone trying to lose some fat. I've implemented this for the most part and I am amazed on how full I feel all the time. I realize a lot of my eating is out of something to do. I am so glad I am not a smoker I would never be able to quit
When I first saw the title of this book; I had visions of cabbage soup and low carb diets dancing in my head. However, I was pleased when I listened to the preview, and heard hints of nutritional science mingled with a entertaining narrative. Upon getting the book, I was blown away at the wealth of knowledge that was held within. The author(s) "got it", and helped me get it too. I am now energized to change my life. Inside this audio you'll discover why you should change your diet, what the benefits are with the prescribed meals, and a proper exercise routine (which are also provided via PDF) to culminate into a well rounded program. Moreover, Mr. Conger does an excellent job narrating this book. Overall, an excellent production!
I have been skinny all my life. Then hit menopause and gained weight and could not get it off. This book is so wonderful. I am never hungry and must remember to eat all day. I even lost weight which I thought I could never do because of getting old.
This book gives lots of great diet and health information that you can apply to your life. The reader is great. The only thing is, it spends quite a bit of time talking about the dangers of the "low carb" diet craze...and I think/hope we're kinda past that craze today. However, I recommend it. And there's other products in this "series" like the "Abs Diet Personal Trainer".
