I laughed so hard my girls wanted to know what it was all about. They loved it too. You must listen can't wait for book three.
Say something about yourself!
Book Two of the Jane Jameson series. Fun story and creative characters. Highly recommend this author.
Jane Jameson - she is the most unlikely vampire and is pretty cool for an ex librarian
loved all of it
the title is a pretty good tag line
these books are fabulous, certainly a laugh out loud experience. spent many an hour chuckling away whilst commuting to work in the car
One of my favorite audiobooks! All of Molly Harper's books are fantastic.
Jane is full of spunk and keeps you hooked through her whole story.
There are many parts of the story that had me laughing out loud. I love the sense of humor she includes in her stories.
I have to say that I'm a big Molly Harper Fan, but not so much an Amanda Ronconi fan. I think this is because I compare her to other narrators who have a wider talent scope such as Lorelei King, Jim Dale and Marguerite Gavin. I enjoy her Jane voice but her male voices (except Dick's) leave something to be desired. Her Jolene voice is a nasally, drawling voice that makes me cringe a little. Dick's voice cracks me up though. I have been enjoying the books and will continue to buy them even with Ronconi's narration.
The ensemble case of characters in this series is delightful. Each adds to the story allowing the hilarious lines to just flow. Since vampires live forever I would love for this series to do the same.
I am a passionate devourer of chocolate and books. I also listen to audiobooks and drink chocolate. When I die, I don't want to be embalmed!
This is the second book in the Jane Jameson vampire series after Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs and I listened to it as an audiobook, narrated by Amanda Ronconi.
In this story, we find Jane trying her best to be a Maid of Honor to her friend Zeb's werewolf girlfriend Jolene. She is also trying to fight off increasing, out-of-character advances by Zeb. Her boyfriend Gabriel is till being all secretive about his long absences and Jane continues to battle with her family over her rights to the estate she inherited from her Aunt. To top it off, there maybe another love interest for Jane to help her with her loneliness while Gabriel is out of town. Never a dull moment!
Molly Harper continues to write a great story with a strong female lead. Jane doesn't turn all mushy, but keeps true to character with her strange sense of humor and snarky comments. I enjoyed the snips from her Guide for Dating a Werewolf and all the funny things Jolene's family were trying to do with Zeb that usually left him battered, bruised, maimed, or just bleeding a bit around the edges.
Will I go onto the next one? YES!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
A must have set, a very funny and entertaining series. Hope there is more to come.
I think these books are a blast to read. I love the character Jane, she's a fun & clever girl, with a never ending talent for snark and sarcasim. This is a light take on the paranormal. Very similiar to the Sookie Stackhouse books, but with a PG rating. I laughed out loud many times. each of these books were better then the last. I think the narrator captured Janes personality perfectly. I love Jane and her friends, their fun and unforgetable.
