A) Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris
Similar concept, i.e. Vampires have made themselves known by human mankind and living among them as a minority.
Both are equally addictive :-)
Must read for any Vampire Romance Fans. Funny, Unexpected Turn of Events, Great Story, Superb Performance. Can't wait for more.
The book is an easy listen not only by the author's writing style but the voice over is great I recommend the entire series!!!!
Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs
yes ... excellent
Laugh out loud
I wouldn't make it through college without my audiobooks.
It seems like a whole lot goes on throughout these stories, but I feel like nothing ever happens. I enjoy the series because Jane is quick snarky, but her comments may not be enough for me to continue the series.
Another reviewer mentioned that it is similar to the Undead and Unwed series and she is completely correct. Jane reminds me a lot of Betsy!
Love Molly Harper, she is funny and the storylines are intriguing. This book does not disappoint!
Amanda's does a fantastic job! I love her voice and her reflections are done well.
Yes, I've been doing so to anyone who would listen.
Fun with fangs, and gilt trips.
The characters are endearing, and full of flaws that keep them from becoming your typical stuffy supernaturals.
Jane is great, she balances her knack for getting in over her head with her own blend of canny observations and gut instinct. Her determination to get herself out of trouble saves her from being a wimpy 'damsel in distress', even when her friends are scrambling to save her butt!
It's fun to hear all the characters come to life; having a narrator and 'cast' is what makes audio books so great.
Jane Jameson wants a normal life, but with her knack for finding trouble she'll settle for being alive!
Wow this really didnt have an interesting story line at all. I normally listen to audio books while I am working. This one made me so sleepy and board its just a horror and waste of my credit.
All of it
She was horrible and a better narrator should of been picked. Fake country accent etc. I have had better narrator's will bad books.
All of them
This is one author that I will keep reading/listening to. I love her books. The characters are funny the story keeps your interest. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a light, witty and entertaining listen, to choose this one.
All of the fun and humor of Good Girls Don't Have Fangs returns in this well written sequel. The beginning of the book does give you a brief recap of the first book, which I found helpful because it had been a little while since I listened to it.
I am not usually a fan of the vampires, zombies, werewolves and etc, but with the subject matter being so popular and everywhere, I have seen a few movies (Twilight) and an episode or two of various series. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs was in the Audible Essentials list. It really was the reviews that convinced me to buy it, and I'm so glad I did.
Nice Girls Dont Date Dead Men is mostly centered around the wedding of Jane's best friend Zeb, a human, and Joleen, a werewolf. As you can imagine the events leading up to the event are chaotic and hilarious. Jane is also still learning the ins and outs of everyday vampire life, and trying to figure out her relationship with her mysterious sire/boyfriend. Throw in a new job, critical family members, another step-grandpa's death, Dick Channey, psychics, Faux-Type-O, friendly ghosts, small town politics, a high school crush, a lawsuit from a sister, and incredibly well timed retorts, sarcastic remarks and clever thinking... you end up with a very well crafted, hilarious book that you won't want to put down.
My favorite part is the witty banter and sarcastic humor that Jane uses. She is so quick witted and has a retort for everything. In the first book I found myself getting a little annoyed at Jane shooting her mouth off with thinking first. In this book, she still says exactly what she thinks, its just not so detrimental to her well being.
There are a couple sex scenes. They are not overly descriptive, but they are there.
This book is a super fun read. I had a hard time putting it down. I laughed out loud frequently and got a couple weird looks from the people sitting next to me, but I didn't care, I was having fun. The narrator did a pretty good job too. A couple of the male voices sounded similar, but I was never confused about which character was speaking.
Now I just have to wait for my next credit so I can download the next book. OK, well, maybe I won't be able to wait that long :-)
Adult Vampire Book
I like when the main character gets in a fight with an old man. You will just have to read or listen to, in order to find out.
Didn't I just answer this?
Repetitive much? This book makes me laugh at different times.
I really enjoyed this vampire book. It's like a book version of True Blood. If you like True Blood, than you would like this audio book series.
