Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I enjoyed the first book much better than this one. It was still funny, but besides her friend getting married there wasn’t much of a plot. There was lots of mini side stories that you think might add up to something and then pull together later, but I kinda feel like she let me hanging. Jane was funny, but it drove me crazy because she never stuck up for herself. But defiantly funny enough for a good read and I will probably listen to the next because I have enjoyed MH so far.
The lighthearted story and entertaining situations.
The furneral of Jane's grandmothers 4 th husband.
Wonderfully entertaining. She breathed live into the charactors and was spot on with their personalities! Nice Job
Problems of dating the undead.
Molly Harper rock. Loved her werewolf books too.
I will listen to the story again because it is a very entertaining story and told in a very entertaining way.
I love all the parts where she squares off against her Nana.
This book constantly had me with a smile on my lips.
Yes. It makes me laugh a lot and has a delightful story line.
She brings life to the main character and the plot.
Sometimes I laughed until I cried.
The narrator brings feeling to the characters words. But, if it did not say which character was talking, most of the time I would not know. The difference between male and female voices is sometimes hard to differentiate, much less the difference in same sex voices.
Oh my goodness this series is hilarious. I found myself giggling out loud. I was pulled in by the first book "Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs" and have been hooked ever since. I really don't usually enjoy vampire books, but this one is somewhat of a spoof. The reader is awesome, and I found myself downloading everything she's ever narrated.
Also Molly Harper's other books are just as funny, just as well written, and the narrator is just as perfect for all of the characters. I was very pleasantly surprised.
I really enjoyed the second book. As others have said, it spends a lot of time talking about Zeb and Jolene's pending marriage and their own family problems. But I enjoyed getting to know some of the other characters in the story, their family problems, and such. I thought Amanda did a great job with the voices. It really helps.
OK, all my neighbors think I am absolutely nuts. I listen to my audiobooks on my IPod with ear phones, so my neighbors are always hearing me burst out laughing for no apparent reason as I sit on my patio all alone. Worse, at one point while driving, I had to pull over cause I was laughing so hard.
These audio books should come with a warning about using heavy machinery while listening.
It's funny. The characters are well developed and likeable. The story flows easily. It's one of those books that I just couldn't stop listening to. Amusing snappy realistic dialogue. These are characters to which a reader can really relate.
Amanda Ronconi is one of the best narrators that I have ever heard. I have sought out other books that she has narrated based on her performance alone. Her performance is natural. I never felt like she was actually reading. Her vocal characterizations are spot on and easily differentiated from each other. She really brings Jane to life.
Molly Harper is a wonderful Author. I listened to one of her books and was hooked, I couldn't stop till I had listened to or read them all. She always puts me in a good mood.
Jane, I found myself drawn to the character. She was relateable and very funny.
I loved her interpretation of the candidates.
I listened to the book in one sitting. I listened to it twice!! I loved all of the characters.
The art of writing is to develop a story with characters that the reader can 1. connect with on a person level and 2. care about. Ms. Harper has more than surpassed that goal. Not only is the story interesting and compelling and the characters well developed but there was so much life in the story that it was impossible not to see the humor in the various situations and laugh out loud. I have made plans to read the whole series and any other books by Ms. Harper I can get my hands on. Life is much to serious now days not to have a good laugh.
