The characters were original and had their own personalities that were appropriately broadcasted by the narrator. I also enjoyed the fact that the relationship between Gabriel and Jane wasn't picture perfect.
Andrea - Sometime the only unsupernatural voice she was very funny and blunt.
Professional female with little time for the fun things (cooking, reading and traveling)!
I like Amanda Ronconi's voice, I really do. But, this book is just... whiny. Parts of the book move really well and other parts are like nails on a blackboard. I think there is just too much "Jane in her head". Ms. Harper just hasn't made me care about most of these characters and I'm willing. This is escape literature for me; so, although, I'm almost finished with it, it is a chore. I will keep trying though...
A story with some surprise, I would have been great for my 12 yr old daughter
if they would have left out the steamy sex.
Don't think so. At least not in this series. I have listened to one other book from this series
it was ok ther was a story line with some mystery. I was only 6.95 as was this one. this one was not even worth 6.95 and I sure would not use a credit on it.
No problem with narrator. She was the best part of the book. I would not have made it as far in the book as I did if it were not for her
All of them.
This books continues with Molly Harper's dry sense of humor from book 1 of this series. Jane Jameson deals with her best friends erratic behavior as his wedding draws close (thanks to his interfering mother), her sire/boyfriends strange cheating-like actions, her Grandmother Ruthie's new fiancé (who is more than he seems) and her relationship with her sister and mother. It definitely kept me chuckling throughout the book.
The audio versio may be a tad bit better then the print because her character vioces might be a little better than the ones in my head.
Jane. Hilarity ensues around her or because of her.
The book made me laugh out loud leading me to explain the story to the people around me.
Definately start at the first book, I tried it on sale after looking for something to uplift my down spirits. It was so hiliarious that I HAD to buy the rest of the series.
No, The main character is whiny and there is NO action at all. I love vampire books (Charlene Harris novels, all of Jeaniene Frost novels) and this one is just....well, pointless. Jane, the main character is a downer. I have about 3 hours left on this 10 hour book and I can't wait for it to be over =(
I probably (in my head) would've had a better, less whiny voice for the main character.
The author is so witty and funny and the narrator is phenomenal. I never listen to a book by Molly Harper and find myself thinking I'm bored.
It is difficult to pick out any certain part. It was so fun all the way through.
Every scene was my favorite. This book made me laugh out loud, frequently.
It made me laugh, a lot. I didn't laugh till I cried but I certainly listen with a smile on my face the whole time.
Listening to books by Molly Harper has become my favorite thing to do. They make my 12 mile bicycle commute in the rain the most enjoyable part of my day.
For all of you reviewers out there, I want you to know how important you are to me. Reviews are very powerful. Thought you should know.
This series. with Jane Jameson as the lead character, is superb from Book 1 to Book 4. It's such a fun romp from start to finish, with wonderful supporting characters, and imaginative storylines. It's smart, hilarious, and even sexy...what more could you want? And the narrator, Amanda Ronconi, was the PERFECT choice! No one could have performed more expertly. She delivers the lines and various characters so well, in fact, that I'm delighted to have taken this journey via Audible, rather than reading it myself. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun!
I am completely addicted to Audiable. I have loved reading forever but now it is great to be able to listen in the car or cleaning house whatever.
The relationships, all of them there is the love story but the friendships are great too!
The comedy between the characters.
Fun and relaxing.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I enjoyed the first book much better than this one. It was still funny, but besides her friend getting married there wasn’t much of a plot. There was lots of mini side stories that you think might add up to something and then pull together later, but I kinda feel like she let me hanging. Jane was funny, but it drove me crazy because she never stuck up for herself. But defiantly funny enough for a good read and I will probably listen to the next because I have enjoyed MH so far.
