Paranormal-urban fantasy book lover!
All of them, honestly, I cannot pick just one.
Yes and I did.
Anything from Molly Harper is a great buy.
With the first Jane Jameson book, I was hooked. I listen to audiobooks while I drive. While listening to these books, I worry that the people passing me may think I'm crazy because I am alone in the vehicle and laughing out loud. The series is extremely entertaining. Nice Girls Don't Live Forever does not disappoint.
I am a retired Court Reporter and I LOVE books. All kinds of books but my favorites are mysteries and period books. I like civil war books and some biographies.
This book has a combination of humor and mystery that is absolutely delightful. I couldn't stop listening to it. I can't wait for another in this series. I hope the author doesn't stop with just four.
It was a fun listen. Her characters are always witty and you never want it to end.
Amanda Ronconi is a great narrator.
Yes, the story is well written, witty and fun.
The way the main character (Jane) is developed, how despite the fact that fate seems to conspire against her, her good sense and positive outlook gets her through. The exasperating family reminds me of my own, I think most people can relate.
Hmmm there are so many good scenes - I got a chuckle going when she had to deal with her benefactors nephew - especially when she snarled at him and his reaction.
I am a bit of a sucker for a happy ending so I think the meeting of minds with her sister - I don't want to go into too much detail and spoil the story. Family is a big part of these stories and all the stuff you have to put up with from the relatives.
Nice girl makes good - eventually!
Start with book 1 'Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs' it would be a shame to not enjoy the entire romp.
I am really enjoying these books, and the arration is really awesome. I have had some rough times, but this book makes me forget about them for a while.
I can't say that this was the best series of this genre, but it was certainly lighthearted and cute. Like other reviewers said, it's part Twilight, part Sookie Stackhouse, hence it reads like a full-on rip-off at times. But if you don't care about that, it's quite enjoyable! Cute relationships and quick dialogue.
The narrator had a habit of making her male characters sound more nagging and whiny than was necessary, but I've listened to worse.
I enjoyed the heck out of this series, and Molly Harper did a great job of wrapping things up nicely! I think I am going to miss Jane - will definitely listen to these again and again!
Note - if you like the narrator, Amanda Ronconi, check out the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent. (Good books!) :)
