It's not the greatest but I well listen to it again
I didn't want the story to end.
You feel she is that person that is confused and still making the same mistakes.
Yes. But have to work to buy more books on audio.
You'd think that after 3 books the premise of this book would get tiring, but I find book #3 has hilarious and surprising as the two before it. The narrator's voice fits perfectly with all the characters that she has to read. I find that the family dynamics and the development of the main character as she grows to like who she is and those around her, seem very natural and realistic, even though we're talking about vampires and werewolves. I want more!!
I liked the book. I like the whole series. They're a pretty light read when you don't need to think too hard about anything and there's enough funny to make it fun.
I think one of my favorite characters is Jolene. Besides the voice, i just think she's funny.
I hated the sound of the male lead's voice. It sounded like a kid going through puberty whispering. It made me with I were reading it instead of listening to it.
It was a breather book for me inbetween more intense, long books.
I hated the narration, but other than that I really enjoyed the story.
Amanda Ronconi is the perfect person to bring Molly Harper's stories to life. She really captures the wit and humor in writing.
She's becoming empowered and more independent - finally!
The type of story is similar to the others, however, in this one Jane finally become a little more empowered and less like a doormat. It frustrates me when the lead female character appears weak, which has been my reservation about this series overall. In this book, Jane finally become a little more independent and empowered. If this continues, I could see this growing into a very good series. I just got the fourth book and look forward to starting it this week.
There are some good one liners that make me laugh out loud
I find it hard to critique this book, to me it's a fluff book. Not something to be taken to seriously. It was an enjoyable light listen the narrator is good. Story is predictable but I enjoyed the series up to this point. I don't see the need to buy the next books because I'm not attached to the characters. But it wasn't bad for what it is.
she does a good job of giving the characters more heart
Audible helps me through my commute... There are wonderful narrators that tell compelling stories and deliver amazing performances.
These books made me laugh out loud often! I enjoyed the pop culture references, the sardonic tone, and the Jane's snarky quips about her family. I have purchased all four books because they were so delightful! While the mystery portion of the story is not terribly thrilling, I looked forward to my commute everyday! If you are looking for an enjoyable story that will keep you smiling most of the day, then purchase the series. Molly Harper has comedic sarcasm down to the very last snarky thought any woman in Jane's situation would have. Amanda Ronconi is a great narrator! I don't think anyone could make Jane as snarky and lovable the way Amanda does!
Loved the story
Jane because everyone can relate to her.
Amanda is perfect for these books.
Loved so much I bought the series and three other books by Molly; so far I'm not disappointed.
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
