My husband and I love to listen to Molly Hunter's books. Her humor and sarcastic wit is so funny! You can picture the scene and the expressions and even though the events are fictitious they are so close to something your own grandmother, mother, sister or friends would do you relate and laugh out loud.
Always the quick wit of the primary character.
The scene between the grandmother and the ghost of her dead sister fighting and name calling in the kitchen.
When Dick finds his girlfriend in the basement. He became a down to earth, loveable guy instead of the sleazy low life of the group.Another was when Zeb held his babies for the first time. He grew up, stepped up, and became the man instead of the boy.
Yes, and I plan to as soon as I finish listening to every other book by this dynamic duo. I am so pleased to have found these books. I enjoy every minute.
Jane is my favorite, probably because she is the main character but I love them all. I love the flawless way Amanda's voice changes when she switches characters.
Jane. Amanda is spectacular and I love the way she does Dick's voice too and she is so graceful when she shifts characters. I really don't have the vocabulary to praise these books or their narrator sufficiently.
Yes. I hate to turn it off and I hate even more to finish it.
I never thought I would find a book I would enjoy as much as I enjoyed listening to Jim Dale read Harry Potter but I do enjoy listening to Molly's books just as much.
I'm married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Love to read books, and love to listen to audio books. Genre's UF/Sci-Fi/ dystopian/ fiction and mystery/thrillers
Fun, Good, FUN
It's a very good series, once you start listening your hooked.
Yes, I LOVE Amanda Ronconi, she's is by far one of the best narrators out there, sometimes I will pick a book just because she narrated it, that's how I came across Molly Harpers books.
Yes, and I'm pretty sure I did. :)
The story and characters are so relatable. What I love the best is the expression that Amanda Ronconi gives as she reads this delightful book. I really have laughed out loud at the situations our Jane gets in to.
Like the rest of the books in this series, this book is witty and fun with an interesting story line.
There are a number of story lines in this book that intertwine which kept it lively and interesting.
Amanda Ronconi is a great narrator and I have enjoyed all four of books in this series that she has narrated.
It was an easy and enjoyable listen that made me want to buy the next book in the series!
Jane, the main character, has to be one of the wittiest characters I have ever read! If she were real, I know we would be friends....of course I might have to start wearing Depends undergarments.
It really is a great series. If you have a southern mother/family, you will especially appreciate the character dynamics.
funny, sarcastic, accident prone
it's a toss up between Zeb and Aunt Jeddy...because they're both just so damn loveable
She is Jane Jamison
It's a bit like candy, really enjoyable and yummy but too much at once can give you a belly ache. I needed a break every now and again before I got totally annoyed with Jane's inability to deal.
It took me a while to get into the first book, but now I can't get enough of Jane and her crew of misfits. I'm onto the 4th book now and don't want it to end because there's no more - at the moment anyway!
Just like the rest of us. We all have boyfriends who make us crazy, wedding and travel issues, but when a vampire does it's hilarious and real all at the same time. I liked Jane from the very beginning and the narrator sounds just like I picture her. I highly recommend all four of these books in the series, I bought them and I love them. You will too!
I love a good book but thanks to dislexea i suck at reeding speling and ya. so bring on audio fiction!
again funny exciting, keeps you on youre toes and laughing on the floor. i would recomend thiss to annyone... even my mum!
