She's becoming empowered and more independent - finally!
The type of story is similar to the others, however, in this one Jane finally become a little more empowered and less like a doormat. It frustrates me when the lead female character appears weak, which has been my reservation about this series overall. In this book, Jane finally become a little more independent and empowered. If this continues, I could see this growing into a very good series. I just got the fourth book and look forward to starting it this week.
There are some good one liners that make me laugh out loud
I find it hard to critique this book, to me it's a fluff book. Not something to be taken to seriously. It was an enjoyable light listen the narrator is good. Story is predictable but I enjoyed the series up to this point. I don't see the need to buy the next books because I'm not attached to the characters. But it wasn't bad for what it is.
she does a good job of giving the characters more heart
Audible helps me through my commute... There are wonderful narrators that tell compelling stories and deliver amazing performances.
These books made me laugh out loud often! I enjoyed the pop culture references, the sardonic tone, and the Jane's snarky quips about her family. I have purchased all four books because they were so delightful! While the mystery portion of the story is not terribly thrilling, I looked forward to my commute everyday! If you are looking for an enjoyable story that will keep you smiling most of the day, then purchase the series. Molly Harper has comedic sarcasm down to the very last snarky thought any woman in Jane's situation would have. Amanda Ronconi is a great narrator! I don't think anyone could make Jane as snarky and lovable the way Amanda does!
Loved the story
Jane because everyone can relate to her.
Amanda is perfect for these books.
Loved so much I bought the series and three other books by Molly; so far I'm not disappointed.
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Amanda, rocks as the reader. She has the part down pat with Jane’s snide comments. Tooooo funny!
Loved the entire series and Molly Harper's style of humor. Just heard there will be a next book and I will be buying it when it comes out.
I am new to these series, so far I am very happy with the audio book. The narrator brings out the best of the characters and helps the listener submerge himself / herself into the story. I found myself laughing out loud at some points of the story. I rarely review books, but this book was really enjoyable. I hope to be able to hear more.
I'm sarcastic, witty, and full of myself. What more could you ask for?
Quirky, hilarious, and sarcastic.
Jane because her sense of humor and antics made me laugh out loud.
She was spot on in how I would picture in my mind Jane Jameson talking. She captured the humor and sarcasm better than most would.
I laughed, a lot.
I hate cleaning and doing the laundry. I have begun listening to audio books, and I found that it makes the chores go far more quickly that music does. These books didn't require my undivided attention, and were perfect for listening to and speeding up a boring but necessary chore. I enjoyed them so much, that I listened to each one as much as possible, even when I wasn't doing chores. I even took the dog on nice long walks so I could listen.
I am going to download book 4 now.
Nice Girls Don???t Live Forever is the 3rd book in the Jane Jameson series ??? nice girl small time librarian-turned-vampire. The focus of this book is about the new book store Jane???s inherits, her relationship with Gabriel, how Gabriel tries to hide Jeannine and her connection to him from Jane, Jeannine vengeance to get back at Gabriel through Jane and a rather touching funny moment when Jane and her sister confront each other.
There are lots of laughs out loud moments and Molly Harper certainly has a way of getting in those snarky comments.
Amanda Ronconi does an awesome job reading this series.
