Gary reads this book in his own unique style. Does a great job and I love when he goes off the script.
He tells it as it is.
Why you shouldn't obsess with reporting.
Why you should 'bleed from your eyeballs.
What is the most important part of running a business.
And so on.
This is real, and it's awesome. It has changed me.
Gary Vay's passion jumps through your speakers during his reading of Crush It! This is a very straight forward current account of Social Media and its power for building your business. I have recommended this book to several people who have loved it as well.
Great book, great listen.
I highly recommend it to anyone planning to use Internet and social media to promote either a product brand or his own brand. Gary touches not only on technicalities (blogs, tumblr, facebook, twitter and video-sharing sites) but also and mainly on the ethics of hard-workers and what it takes to succesfully promote your own brand and connect with customers.
It is narrated by hyper-active, ADHD Gary and his voice is the best medium for this content!
This is the first time I am writing a review and what better book to review than Crush it!
It is a great book and you should definitely read it especially in an economy where nothing is what it seems. Where people are losing their jobs or new grads cannot find work this books gives direction and most of all hope to its reader.
Most of it is common sense but then as the saying goes common sense is really not that common so we have people like Gary who dish it out to us on a silver platter.
Having said that Gary really does open your eyes and makes sense as to where and what we should do. He speaks about building your own brand which I have always believed in but most importantly he shows you how to sell it.
Gary dishes it out the best way he knows, with clean clear English and a no nonsense approach. I have read the ebook and also listened to the Audio Book. To be honest I prefer the Audio book as Gary usually moves away from the script and give additional advise.
Overall I give this a five star rating. So do get the Audio book it really is worth it.
This is the perfect reason to listen to unabridged audiobooks. I've been following Gary for the better part of 3 years and to have him read his own book and add the comments, side notes, enthusiasm makes this way more valuable than print.
