Yes, I would recommend the audiobook to a friend. It would not make a difference the age of the friend. This is a well written book and the Narrators are perfect. It's a book for all ages.
I have no favorite, all the characters fit so well.
They were perfect. Caught the characters and brought them to light.
Yes. Just listen to it and you will know why.
Keep up the good work at Audible.
I liked how real they seemed. The accents and the whiny teenage girls were pretty accurate.
Paco was one of my favorite characters, he was loyal and he made me laugh out loud several times.
I didn't like how whiny Roxanne made Brit if I'm being honest. I think it fit her character but it was honestly annoying at times.
At times yes.
I just Love the Allure of a Great Romance...a Pair of Rose Colored Glasses...some Fine Wine, and a Subscription to Audible...
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles is the first book in the Perfect Chemistry Series, as well as the first book by Simone Elkeles that I have read/listened. Although it received an overall rating of 3 stars from me, the narration, performed well by Roxanne Hernandez and Blas Kisic, received 4 stars.
The Perfect Chemistry series is targeted toward teen’s ages 13 & up, and I can see howt it would hold more appeal for them. The bad boy meets good girl is classic in Romance Novels, and I am definitely a fan. But, while I, (at my age – ugh) certainly realize that this is fiction and not meant to be a taken as biographical, the ending is not at all probable. I might not object to my teen reading this, but I would certainly want to know what he or she were reading so that I might be able to shed some light on the plausible reality of the outcome of such a relationship. Don’t get me wrong, I have read hundreds of romance novels, and love them…13 just seems young.
Fairly good story, but sadly, I do not recommend as credit worthy.
I thought the audio version was better than print. they made the characters real and made me see how they can make them into real life character's
Alex. Alex was just an amazing person he cared about Brittney and made Brittney fall for him when she didn't want to but ended out to be the right chemicals put together.
I've never but this was my first it was amazing how they brought the character's to live and made me imagined what they were like I even dreamt them together.
Yes, It made me cry, laugh, scream with excitement and kept me from putting it down. I give a thousand stars to whoever made the book.
I think you should give this book a try its steamy, hot. a lot of romance and tough love. its a great book!!!!!
I wanted to like this book, but unfortunately it was cliché and poorly written--it was very choppy and at times seemed as if it was written by a twelve year old that tried to compromise for their poor writing by overusing words like "fucking", "shit", etc.
Didn't feel at all connected with the characters.
Roxanne Hernandez sounded like a slightly past middle-aged woman trying to sound like a teenager. It's laughable. Blas Kisic's voice also sounded too old for the character he was narrating for. Both voices really annoyed me.
I have to admit I allowed myself to get caught up by the hype, unfortunately that is all it was, HYPE. Overall the actual writing flowed but that’s as positive as I can get. The plot was and characters were cliché and agonizingly predictable.
As far as the narration is concerned I thought the Roxanne Hernandez and Blas Kisic did not fit the characters they were voicing causing the narration to fall flat. The only silver lining is that they both spoke Spanish very well; I have a sneaking suspicion that’s the only requirement they need to fill in order to qualify for this gig. Roxanne Hernandez has a very adult voice for the teenager she was portraying, to mask this she seemed to put on an annoying voice, as for Blas Kisic he has a middle age man’s voice and was completely unapologetic about it which throw me off since the character he voiced was eighteen.
I really wanted to like this book but I cannot say I will ever re-read this or much less recommend it to anyone.
Love Mystery and Romance Love it even better when they are all wrapped up into one story.
I love this book. I love the bad boy Alex and Brittney's romance, it goes to show you that you never know who is right for you. I was older when I listen to this (did it to see if it was a good book for a younger cousin) and I felt it was good for a high level high schooler which is what the age of the characters are and above because I've been out of high school for a while and still loved it! It follows true problems, how to be yourself and not what others except of you, the troubles with parents and a disabled sister, also when/who to give "it" to.
I love the two sided narration of the book and how Elkeles wrote it both view points of the characters makes it very enjoyable. Female narrator I didn't like as much which is why I gave the performance a 2 out of 5.
I love to read mysteries, histories, biographies, humor, and Jane Austen.
I'm not sure why I bought this, because I'm not the target audience (I'm in my 50's, but this book is clearly for young adults). That being said, I enjoyed the story quite a bit. The two-narrator presentation was good, although Blas Kisic sounded a little old for the part. The story has some intense scenes that are better for young adults over the age of 16 or 17 - but I also don't think this book would interest kids much younger than that, since it doesn't feature wizards or mythical creatures.
I found the book good but its hard to rate something like this after reading Bryce Courtney or Tolken... entertaining but not riveting.
Loved it! I really enjoyed this story of two people overcoming obstacles despite being from different social backgrounds. Love conquers all! Definitely of perfect chemistry.
