Clive is my favorite author, by far. He will be sorely missed. This book was surprisingly excellent! Unusual story line. Excellent review of history.
Always enjoyable. Particularly enjoyed the descriptions of Hawaii. Also enjoyed the reference to China's seemingly insatiable need for oil.
When the antagonist met his own.
Love joe. But dirk and Rudy are always good.
I like stuff. From gardening to cats to haiku to software to citizen science.
I'm relatively new to audio books, usually reading print and on kindle.
This is a very good audiobook, it's long, suspenseful with lots of little cliffhangers (and a few big ones). The dialogue between the main characters is often witty and that keeps the story light and easy to listen to.
The narration by Scott Brick is just awesome and i'm looking forward to listening to his other books. Since i'm new to audiobooks, i don't know if it's odd to seek out the narrator as much as the author...? :)
The two main characters being chased into the Gobi desert and their trek on foot through this desolate land.
Love it. He plays the various character voices very well, i will seek out some of his other narrations because i think his voice helps make the story in this format
Laughed out loud a couple of times :)
At the top
Dirk Pitt he's like a James Bond very fun.
The reading was done well, he lets you know when another person was talking by his voice, acting.
Would like to see it made in a movie.
As I listened to this book, I kept thinking it would e a great movie. It's got everything a disaster or end of the world aficionado such as myself loves.
Unique and interesting storyline that occurs mostly out of the water!
Narration moved along well most of the time while lagging in some spots.
Due to it's length at lends itself to a series more than a movie.
unabriged version somewhat LONG with 3 parts
Power Play Adventure.
On the Lake, when the Wave Smashed their Boat.
Ancient Powers, Ancient Cultures and Ancient Secrets combine to bring the Planet to it's knees, and only Dirk Pitt and his NUMA Research Team stand in the way of Global Disaster.
Voracious, omnivorous reader. Audible provides another venue to absorb information.
Al Giordino - good friend, resourceful ally, pulls Pitt out of scrapes often.
Kept me interested.
Found the book works like most of the Cussler novels, several plots, themes, crisp dialogue.
