As I listened to this book, I kept thinking it would e a great movie. It's got everything a disaster or end of the world aficionado such as myself loves.
Unique and interesting storyline that occurs mostly out of the water!
Narration moved along well most of the time while lagging in some spots.
Due to it's length at lends itself to a series more than a movie.
unabriged version somewhat LONG with 3 parts
Power Play Adventure.
On the Lake, when the Wave Smashed their Boat.
Ancient Powers, Ancient Cultures and Ancient Secrets combine to bring the Planet to it's knees, and only Dirk Pitt and his NUMA Research Team stand in the way of Global Disaster.
Voracious, omnivorous reader. Audible provides another venue to absorb information.
Al Giordino - good friend, resourceful ally, pulls Pitt out of scrapes often.
Kept me interested.
Found the book works like most of the Cussler novels, several plots, themes, crisp dialogue.
HAVEN'T READ THE PRINT VERSION
I LIKE ALL OF CUSSLER'S WRITINGS. THEY ARE FAST PACED,ACTION ADVENTURES, WITHOUT ALL OF THE SEX AND FOUL LANGUAGE
IT'S A FUN BOOK
As always with a Clive Cussler book and a Scott Brick narration, this story was entertaining and enjoyable. The twists and turns of the plot keep the listener attentive. Mr. Brick's character portrayals make it fairly easy to determine the characters as they appear.
Not sure about combination of Father and Son collaborating. Used to read Clive Cussler when I was younger and enjoyed them. His Later Works not as good. Maybe It isy taste changing? This was a tyhpical Book from this author and well worh the listen. However, I feel, that the authors are writing to a specific level of society, and would not be an interesing listen or some. Tone and inflection is sometimes annoying.
I loved the book, but the narrator takes the book too seriously. Every other word is emphasized as if it is the most important word in the book and contains the key to the mystery of life. I forced my way through the book because the book is amazing, but I will read them in print from now on. Hated to give the overall just two stars but the narrator was just soooo bad.
Not my favorite cussler story. It was okay but i found myself getting bored a lot. For diehard cussler fans it is another chapter in the dirk pitt story but not an overly memorable one.
