The narration is my favorite part of this book. Tim Curry is incredible.
Scrooge is my favorite. It is fun to follow his development over the Christmas night.
There is something about his voice. He is perfect for this performance.
The most moving part for me is where Scrooge starts to soften, around the part with the second ghost, and you understand that there is still hope for the old grumpy man.
I listen to this book every year in December. It is easily one of my all time favorites.
This is a Christmas Classic performed by an actor with a wonderful voice and deep nuances to match the plot!
I loved the atmosphere of Victorian London created by the sounds and the cadences echoed in the novella.
I loved Fred!
I have always loved this novella and Curry only seasoned it with more pathos and the joy of the season for me.
I would strongly recommend this novella to one and all!
Tim Curry was fantastic - and even though we all know it - don't we all love to revisit it? So much fun!
Until listening to this version, I had no idea that Dickens was so witty. A lovely story, superbly narrated.
Signature performances are suppose to be good. Tim Curry performs this timeless tale in sort of a dimensional notion. Fun is read along with the other strands in the story line. I suppose one either likes or dislikes Time Curry but honestly this story and his talent are perfectly paired.
I keep coming back to this listen, probably 6 or 7 times this last year. For me the story never gets old and the performance is like a wonderful piece of music. Tim Curry is a great narrator.
Say something about yourself!
This book is not just an entertaining December listen, it is passively mentioned in many books and has inspired many self development books over the years. Fun narrator.
I love the Muppet's Christmas Carol but if you want your family to experience the book as written this is for you. Suitable for 8 and up (depending on your children) - not as creepy as it sounds, with a wonderful and uplifting message at the end.
Historical & SciFi Book Lover, especially Georgette Heyer, Lois McMaster Bujold, Connie Willis (& New Who). Also books for the kids.
I did not expect to enjoy this, and instead I developed an abiding love of this novel and I was really astonished to find out that Tim Curry is such an accomplished narrator. A wonderful seasonal treat. Recommended
This is an exciting, emotive characterization by Tim Curry, a great audiobook for any time of the year.
There are so many memorable moments in this Story, it's hard to decide which one.
Tim's performance, his tone is just too familiar to me, reminds me of his many characters but uniquely identifies this book above print or movies. Definitely a keeper in my Ipad.
Tim brings the Grinch smile to a whole new level this Christmas
Thanks for offering this Audiobook.
