I can't say that this is the end-all be-all book for understanding the opposite sex, but it's a true beginning. Reading this book helps you develop and nurture your relationships with family, friends, co-workers and most especially your companion.
I am so thankful for this book. I'm getting married soon, and as much as I love my fiancé, we've had problems communicating effectively.
This book helped me understand why he is the way he is, and it helped him to understand me and how I prefer to be communicated with- in a way I've never need able to articulate myself.
Since reading this, we have been able to effectively work out any potential conflict in a healthy way that leaves us both feeling good.
In my opinion, this should be a prerequisite for all couples planning on taking the next step into married life.
Explaining the differences between how a many and a woman think
5 Love Languages.... It separates and explains the differences between your spouse and how to try to build the bridge.
Yes. I RARELY dislike books that are read by the author because the book is the author's baby and they read it with emotion. Unfortunately, John Gray is very monotone. He's a genius in his own right but it didn't make for a good listen in that aspect. It took me a VERY long time to finish listening.
Very helpful in every relationship, not only with my husband and myself, but also with my friends, relatives, co-workers. Surprisingly pleasant listen. Equipped me with many tools and I am recommending this book to anyone who listens to my conversation!!!!
Yes to any and every friend man or women.
How he could almost read my mind. Nice to know I'm not the only one having problems understanding the opposite sex, and how different men and women think and talk.
If they did repeat the same thing over and over again in a monotonous voice.
It was very dull.
