Red hat reader
Imagine the problems of finding yourself mated to someone you don't know. Patricia Briggs has created a wonderful series addressing this problem. I love watching the progression of this relationship.....and, of course, the intricate politics of the different supernatural types.
Tell us about yourself I Never want to read a book again. I love love love audible. Now all my children have acc. I drive and listen all day
I have over 200 books it rates in the top 10
The only thing that could be better is if Patricia briggs wrote faster
Hunting Ground ranks up among the best books I've listened to.
Anna! She's strong and sweet and a
I like it when the performance disappears and the story lays itself out, and that's just what this reader did.
Oh, yeah! But it's too long for that. Still, I would have if I'd had the time!
I will most likely listen to Hunting Ground again before the next one comes out. The story is compelling and since it builds on characters from the Mercy Thompson series, it feels comfortable listening to it.
I'm a big fan of Charles. He's complicated and a little lost. For someone who is supposed to be so
Holter Graham does a great job with the voices of the different characters. I always know who's speaking and what they're feeling. I would definitely listen to more books narrated by him.
I would share a moving experience, but I don't want to spoil it. :)
Another hit. I love the way Patricia Briggs brings us a little closer to the Marcy Thompson world. We get a chance to meet Charles Cornick and his wife. What a story. Charles is one DUDE I would not want to have mad at me. Great story line and it ties in well with the other series. Great job by the narrator. He really brought the story to life. Though he did mess up a little between the two books. He swapped Charles and Bran's voices in the second book. In the first book Charles sounded more the indian with the slow rough speech and his father sounded much younger. Good books though.
I enjoyed this whole series by Ms.Briggs, starting with Moon Called, and I can only hope she's not done yet! I hated to see the end of the book come, and wait with baited breath for the next story. I hope to see Mercy and Adam figure prominently in future works, along with Anna and Charles. This book has twist and turns, mystery and a little romance thank goodness. Ms. Briggs videos an YouTube are an added bonus.
I didn't expect great literature. I primarily listen to audio books while on the treadmill at the gym or during my commute. Patricia Briggs' werewolf tales are a great way to escape...
The author does a great job of painting pictures in your mind. You can almost feel the bite of snow on your face, or the hot breath of a wolf beside you.
The narrator's portrayals are quite natural.
These are great. The mystical is always a good story when the author does great research but also inputs some their own. If this is your first taste be sure to go back to the first book and learn about these characters. It keeps you totally ingrossed.
