The book caught my attention and kept it all the way through. If you liked the Mercy Thompson series you'll love this as well. Patricia Briggs does a great job.
I loves this book just as good as the first one. Patricia Briggs is a great writer. Highly recommend this story and the first book too. And if you like this story you should read her books with mercy thompson serise they are great too. My only little disapointment in this book was the reader did not do the same voice for charles that he used in the first book. Other wise I love his reading of this book he really brings this book alive. Hope you enjoy.
I've read and heard all the Mercy Thompson novels with great enjoyment. It peeks my interest in the realities created by Ms Briggs, gives me insights, and entertains.
The glimpses and understandings about what it is to be a werewolf.
The novel world comes truly alive. I can see the bookscape in my mind's eye from this reading.
When she knew her mate bound was true and actual, and that she loved her mate. When she embraces the powers of that bond and love as her possession and right.
It's an excellent read, everytime I pick up one of her books and now I'm going to go into a world of fantasy and adventure that never been to before. her Mercy Thompson mercy world is like no other mythology.
I've been reading Patricia Briggs for years. These are entertaining, enjoyable, and not too cheesy which I find happens a lot in urban fantasy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for all three categories is because I reserve that for books that leave me speechless or questioning my existence, haha.
All I can say is I loved this book! I could not stop reading it, can it be topped I guess I'll see in the next book
After reading the Mercy Thompson novels, I've enjoyed the expansion of her world through the Alpha and Omega stories. This one nicely picks up where Cry Wolf left off, with some good twists and turns along the way. My only complaint is that Holter Graham flips the voices he used for Bran and Charles in the opening chapters. That glitch should have been caught during production. Happily, he switches back as the novel continues, and keeps them straight in all the other books in the series. Other than that one error, Graham is a fantastic reader who manages a wide range of character voices distinct enough that we don't really need the speech tags.
I love to read. I never go anywhere without a book. My 'To Reads' are piled on my bed and in the bathroom. I listen in the drive to work.
A very good example of the genre. Easy to listen to with the right amount of tension. I am looking forward to the next in the series.
This is my second read/listen of this excellent book and I think I liked it even more. Patricia Briggs is one of the best fantasy writer out there and her most are always great. The Omega series does not disappoint.
