I Love a great supernatural tale, a Love story, PNR, a Cool Mystery and Most Sci-Fi....if there are vampires, weres or witches in it, that's a plus! Basically I am a 40+ y/o young at heart woman rediscovering the wonderful world of books and am now addicted! Lol I LOVE AUDIBLE!!!!!
I would...it was great...it flowed perfectly and I was completely enthralled!
As I have said before these books are a mix of Cat and Bones and the Werewolf series by Molly Harper....
I like his narration...he is excellent and very enjoyable!
Oh yes...several....the ending being one of them...
I should have listened to this series long ago....right after I discovered Mercy....Because I love it just as much!! On to book 3!!! 2 thumbs up and a highly recommend from me!!!!
I am a "Life is Awesome! Strive to be Worthy of it." student of life kind of guy. Feeding on Chaos and Empowering the Good. Group Hug!
Both this series and the Mercy Thompson had so much potential. I keep hoping for more umph, but just not getting it with these books. It seems very basic, or maybe I just read to many books that had the OMG factor built in to the point I thought I was going to change (fingers crossed)... ;) I will buy the next and last book, with the same hope I had for this one. It is interesting enough to keep my attention, but no real WOW factor. I am still giving it four stars, but it would only be deserving of 4 if it was out of 6 stars, three stars just seems a little petty and I am not petty.
A middle-aged romantic who grew up reading Heinlen, Louis L'Amour and Richard Hooker. Expect and honest opinion, even if it's not PC.
I love Patricia Briggs' writing. Holter Graham is a very nice choice for narrator, with an amazing range of voice.
Reviewing Romance & Urban Fantasy
Ok. In the review of Cry Wolf I stated that I would READ the rest of the series because of my dislike for the narrator. Well….I listened to Hunting Game on audio because it was only 8 hours and I knew I could get it done in one day at work. And this time around the narrator didn’t bother me as much. I guess I got use to his voice as the characters. And I have Fair Game on audio since they offered it during a sale at audible.com and it was cheaper that the book. YES I’m cheap.
I really enjoy Briggs writing, world and characters. I like seeing that Anna and Charles are getting more comfortable with each other in each book. Charles is not a touchy feely guy. He doesn’t use words, not that he’s not smart but he choosing to show his feelings with actions. Anna is still recovering from her time with her old pack before she and Charles meet. She very much needs the words that Charles finds hard to use but he is learning how to be more vocal with Anna. She is learning how to be more physical with Charles. Touching him more and not just in a sexual way. Wolves live for touching their mates and pack members. They are both slowly teaching each other how to over come their weaknesses.
If you’ve read Brigg’s Mercy Thompson series then you know there are other supes than the werewolves and in this installment we get to see vampires and fae. Charles and Anna go in his father’s place to a big werewolf summit in Seattle where there are attacks on some of wolves and mates by vampires that seem to be hired by a wolf.
As the mystery unfolds; we really get to see Anna shine. She is starting to show how an Omega can be just as ass kick as an Alpha but in a different way.
After I finish writing this review, I’m jumping right into the audio of Fair Game. If you are a fan of werewolves you should give this series a try.
I loves this book just as good as the first one. Patricia Briggs is a great writer. Highly recommend this story and the first book too. And if you like this story you should read her books with mercy thompson serise they are great too. My only little disapointment in this book was the reader did not do the same voice for charles that he used in the first book. Other wise I love his reading of this book he really brings this book alive. Hope you enjoy.

This is a multiple reread of Charles' and Anna's evolving relationship and of the politics prior to the werewolves announcement of their existence to the human world.
Charles is learning to lower the wall he surrounds himself with just as street cops and soldiers must if they are to navigate a love relationship successfully. Anna is learning to overcome past abuses and trust Charles as she has never trusted anyone.
The North American werewolves are readying to announce their presence to the world at large, but there still are dominance issues with the insane alpha of a European pack. Throw in some untrustworthy fae, self-involved nasty vampires, and a lot of treachery, and you have a fascinating read.
The publisher's blurb gives hints, and spoilers are inappropriate.
I love the relationship between Anna and Charles. Instead of the traditional love triangle or emotional problems plaguing just Anna, Briggs writes them as equals. They are both dealing w internal conflicts. Dead Heat leaves her with a lot of future for them
love the Alpha and Omega series this one was a very good book I've read it several times I should say I've listened to it several times and each time I like them even more
I really enjoyed this book, but I could definitely put it down. It was interesting to try to follow the plot, bit there was a bit too much plodding between the action in a few places.
Still want to know how our hero and heroine will handle their next adventure.
