Read this many years ago, but decided to start at the beginning of the Bosch books and do it again. Amazing how little I remembered, and how the story linked to other Bosch books. Just what I wanted - to do them in order. Always a great story!

If you like mysteries and you like being lead through a maze of thoughts, diabolical plans, and uncertainties, you'll enjoy this book!
Park yourself with ample coffee and a comfortable seat and enjoy.
Keeps your attention so .many things going on, wow quite ending. Fast moving at times need to go back after interruptions
A sign language interpreter who finds herself in the car a LOT, traveling from assignment to assignment. Audible saved me from road rage! :)
Fully developed characters and rich story line. Connelly nails it with the story line once again, but beyond that, the beautiful TELLING of the story is what truly makes this a winner as have the last four in the series. Dick Hill's ability to do character voices and accents adds so much depth to the story. I don't know if it was Brilliance Audio's production team or Dick Hill, himself, who came up with the idea of adding sound effects to let the listener know someone was at the other end of the phone or on the police radio and such, but "brilliant" doesn't even begin to describe how it enriches the experience! I've listened to many books that I've loved when reading but not-so-much when listening; this one is alive in every possible way thanks to Connelly, Brilliance, and especially, Hill. Kudos, guys! I loved it.
I'm nervous about switching narrators now that I've finally trusted one so much for five books! I'm about to embark on Book 6 with a new narrator. Please, don't disappoint!
This was another great Harry B story... Well telegraphed twists which although unpredictable, made sense when revealed.
But where is book 6? Why do I have to now jump to book7? And with a new narrator to boot!!
This was a classic Harry Bosch story with nothing special to make it great nor boring..
I did not care for the performance by Dick Hill...it seemed flat, and he kept pronouncing Bosch as Bawsh which was annoying.
Overall a good listen if you have nothing else but I wouldn't rush out to get it if you use your credits or $$ as carefully as I do.
