I started listening at the beginning of the series of Harry Bosch books. This is another good Connelly book read by Dick Hill, whom I like and prefer over the other readers. I love that Harry Bosch is always doing what he needs to do to get to the bottom of things.
the advantage of audio is the ability to listen when i could not read, ie in the car. the advantage of reading is making sure you get the text, the ability to re-read. i enjoy both. however if the reader is really good i look forward to listening.
yes. story is tight and the reader is great.
he knows the story and delivers it
every thing Connelly, James Lee Burke or John Sanford writes is worth reading or listening too. and all of their readers are excellent. i can't wait for each new book and have pretty much listened to and or read them all.
I love mysteries and thrillers, Michael Connelly is one of the best. I like a story that starts with a bang and continues all the way through, Mr. Connelly delivers. At this point I have listened to several and I have been well pleased with everyone. Please keep writing.
I've read/listened to a few of Connelly's books, and this has to be my first major disappointment. I love Bosch as a character and Dick Hill as the narrator, but the story was a real let down this time around. I'm undecided as to whether I should try any more of Connelly's books now or whether it is simply time to move on.
(For reference, the other books by Connelly that I've read and enjoyed are "The Last coyote", "Echo Park" and "The Poet".)
This is a Harry Bosch book, and therefore, it is entertaining, but I have to say that it was the least interesting of the ones that I have read so far. I did not like the love interest in this book.
Harry Bosch lives in these stories. I n this he shows his human side and how even he can make mistakes, but that is all for more suspense and drama. a good listen
Just finished listening a few minutes ago and can't wait to download the next book "Angels Flight". I hate to admit it but I am hooked on this Harry character and the narration is the icing on the cake. This first part is a little slow but the pace soon picks up then your hooked.
