The same action/ thriller hero as found in hundereds of other books. Enjoyable but lots of cliches.
no I have too many books nono it did not keep me on the edge but it was still a great read w I am trying to listen to
no but it was still a great read
he made you feel
what would you do about a wrong that needed to be taken care of
yes please don't text me at 130 in the morning
Absolutely not!! The story is needlessly drawn out and far fetched. The characters could be used to illustrate the concept of lazy stereotyping. The dialogue is so repetitive and awful it made me physically block my ears; but it is the narration which elevates this book to the level of 'comically bad'!
Sorry...I did my best but I just couldn't keep listening...I gave up with two hours to go.
Perhaps by giving a different narrator a different book to read?
Only to better research my purchases.
Yes. I know some people that should very much appreciate this book.
Yes, I want to get the rest of the Jack Reacher novels.
The different voices.
Not Tom Cruise!
Hope the movie does Reacher justice.
I would listen to Killing Floor again because it was so entertaining.
I enjoyed the the characters and various twists in the plot.
Dick Hill is fabulous and he brings the story to life.
This brutal novel keeps you guessing the whole way through and the action is intense and exciting. I read strictly for entertainment, and this book had me hooked from page one and entertained me from beginning to end.
Reacher is a tough and compelling character who brings a keen mind and a brutal streak to his investigation. Partnering with an older but still robust detective and a beautiful cop, Reacher soon finds himself immersed in a conspiracy. The criminals are like the Mafia, complete with a “Don”. They use torture and murder to further their own agenda. This includes killing their own members to keep the others in line.
Child's characters are a well-written group that generally avoids cliché.
The plot offers a lot of insight into the corrupt world of international currency and counterfeiting. The discussion near the end on the distribution and printing of money was interesting and informative.
This is a suspenseful, detailed thriller with a great plot. This book is a riveting "Page-turner."
I am uncomplicated.
I have not read the print version of this book.
Dick Hill is one of my very favorite performers. From Southern Belle to Boston Cop to 90 year old men, this guy has the velvet voice. One of the best performers out there.
There were so many "NO WAY" moments in this book. So many twists and turns that I often held my breath. Fast paced and thrilling.
I cannot wait to listen to the next Jack Reacher installment (Die Trying).
and kept it. The story was good right away. Dragged on a bit towards the end but overall a great story. I also really liked the narrator.
There were too many to name. This story takes place in a very small town where everyone knows everyone else. The bad guys were ruthless and would do ANYTHING to reach their goal which was to keep their illegal activities in full operation .Business as usual. While the good guys Jack Reacher and company were just as relentless in their search for truth, justice and revenge. Not a dull moment in the entire story!
Excellent interpretation of each character. His voice made each scene come alive in your mind's eye.
Graphic violence. This story went on and on and eventually got to a point where I just stopped listening. Not my type of story. Others may enjoy. Very masculine point of view.
