Jack Reacher keeps you coming back for more!
The suspense of the plot kept you hanging on until the very end!
Dick Hill does a great job as the Chief Investigator, Findley.
I wish I could have made time stand still so I could have finished the book all at once.
This is one I'll listen to again
I liked Joe Reacher right away. He's a tuff guy, looking for his place in the world
I listened to one other Series that Dick Hill narrated, a Nora Roberts Series. I liked him a lot in this one but he was better in the other one
When he stands by the fax machine and finds out ......
This is deff not my last book by Lee Childs. I already downloaded the next in the series
time will tell
The writing was redundant and monotonous. It sounded to me like the author was given an assignment to write a story that should be 20 pages and he only has one page worth of material to write about. So he just repeats, and repeats, the same scene changing the words around.
This story is also, and pardon the stereotyping, not written for women. The main character (Jack Reacher) is an arrogent, violent, veteran, who feels he out-wits and out-fights all of the other characters - even his allies.
No, but I won't be getting any others from this author.
I couldn't tell if the narrarator was part of my dissapointment (which is the first audible book I haven't enjoyed), but I'm fairly sure the story was bad enough to even make him sound poor.
Dissapointment and irritation. I felt I had to listen to the book because I paid for it AND I continually hoped there would be some point where it would get better. Alas...not so. :-(
The story was entertaining, but as a retired Army Officer and Army brat, the author's description of Army life was ridiculous. 12 high schools? moving to places that we have no military installations. A MP that is trained like a special forces soldier? Found it distracting. That said, the story was interesting and I enjoyed it.The narrator isn't one of my favorites. His voice is a bit monotonous and he isn't able to effectively differentiate characters. Not sure I will buy a book again that he narrates
It was a great book, but now that I know all the twists, and how it comes out in the end, i probably wouldn't listen again. I will be listening to more Jack Reacher novels though
It was difficult to stop listening.
I really enjoyed Lee Child and Killing Floor. I thought that Jack Reacher was a very good character and looking forward to reading more about his exploits. I read several reviews before making my purchase and am very pleased to have used a credit on this selection. Some of the reviews, rightly point out that some of the story line comes across a little unbelivable, but it does not detract from the book or story line. Dick Hill did a great job in his narration. If you like an action pack thiller with several turns and twist you will not be disappionted with this read. I only wish that Audible would get the other books of these series. They have alot just not some of the older ones.
Say something about yourself!
Yes. The reader, Dick Hill, is easy to keep up with and very talented. I've enjoyed Child's writing. This my first experience with him.
Roscommon. She sounds enticing.
No. I need to piece it together because of my schedule.
I've already bought another of Child's audio books to follow up with. I've done Bourne
And Silva's. this has been the easiest to keep up with.
Action, suspense, excitement
Five of the thugs went into the house to kill Reacher, but Reacher killed them all
Overall his voice, and inflections
I enjoyed the individual who read the book. He kept you glued to your seat and made it hard to turn it off.
How the author brought all the elements together in the end was masterful.
The characters were brought alive in Hill's performance.
I want to listen to the entire series and am disappointed they all aren't on audiotape.
