Great audiobook. I didn't realise it was the fourth in a series which was a bit annoying. Would be really good if it made some mention of this in the blurb. Otherwise not a bad listen to for teens or teen hearted people.
Will be interesting to see what happens in the next book.
This is a great series I just love it and the narrator does an excellent job.
The House of Night series is tagged as YA, and so it is (lots of teenage angst) - but I can honestly say I have enjoyed, and I am in my (ahem) mid-30's! :)
The plot is very interesting, and each book leaves you wondering what will happen next! I am looking forward to the next release in the fall!
I'm 25 yrs old, have listened to all 5 books. I do not why they would change the narrator, she sounds a lot younger then the previous, other than that good plots... but we need to look at Zoe concentrating on just one boy and minimize the excessive talking to her self.
I give the reader 0 stars and the story 4 stars.
This is a perfect example of how narrators can just ruin a story. If they had to replace the previous reader from the first three books, could they not find a better replacement? This reader does a terrible job with the different characters and if the writing had not inserted he saids and she saids it was hard to know who was speaking. I agree with the other reviewer: The current reader sounds as if she is 12 years old, it was just terrible. I see that the next book Hunted is the same narrator, nothing can be done about that, but I hope they get Edwina Wren back for the rest of the series, or at the very least find a better narrator.
I also feel this series should not be classified as Audible Kids there is some very mature content. Perhaps that is why they got this new narrator; they are trying to fool us into thinking it is a kids book by having a kid read it.
