Not the best writing in the world, but I think that is what pulls you into the world from a teenager's perspective so well. I was definitely roped in, and enjoyed the return to my teenage years.
A part time reader, and full time liver.
Listening to the book and following along made everything clear. You could understand the emotion better and think while you read. I found that I grasped the story better listening to this audible. Ive read this book about 10 times and find my reading experience is better with the audible.
The bedroom secne has been a huge hit with the media and movie goers. The kiss, talking, and the touch between one another. It was something worth keeping in your brain and heart.
My favorite part has been and always will be the resturant scene in the book. This is the first time Edward and Bella open up to eachother. You see the strain that he has for her, and the want she has for him. The barely know eachother and yet their love is capable of so many things in this scene. Shy touching, embarrasing smelling of jackets and admiring the color of your dates sweater. It has fariy tale and everyday life written all over it. The author really touched base on this specific scene with the relationship between Edward and Bella.
A Thrilling Teenage Movie.. Romeo and Juliet in Modern Day
The feeling of this book gives a person not the want to be a vampire, but the want of the connection that Bella and Edward share. This is a true romance novel that has reached to many people of all ages, genders, and knowledge base.
Twilight is my 1st audio book...Decided to purchase it so I could listen @ work & while driving...I've already read the entire Twilight saga several times...
The most memorable moment for me is battle between Edward & James towards the end...
Unfortunately the narrator's voice & presentation didn't do much for me...
I would say the saga doesn't really move me until the second book, New Moon...
I enjoys listening when I don't have the opportunity to read, or I'm just feeling lazy...
Pretty high. It is such an entertaining love story and all the characters just come to life!
Dead Until Dark. Same type of story line ... I think this series was written before Ms. Meyer wrote hers.
She puts a lot of feeling into each character - she makes it "believable" - just what you want to hear.
Edward and Bella, babyeeee!
Loved the books. Enjoying the movies .. waiting for part two of the last movie to be released in November. I'm definitely not a teenager, but these stories just take you away, which is just perfect sometimes.
The narrater can only work with what she's got.
The language. No teenager talks like this!! As the mother of 3, (all off to college), I am here to say that the language in this book is beyond belief. My kids had a pretty good vocabulary but they still talked like kids. Not in their wildest dreams would they say something like - "I swiftly looked away", ect.... I can't even remember all the lines in this book that made me cringe. There wasn't a sincere teenage sentence in the whole book. This was pure crap. Like a reality tv show...they suck but the ratings are through the roof.
I never got into this book when in first came out. I am a fan of the paranormal/fantasy books and I love a good vampire read but I thought this was for kids. When I was looking for something to listen to on vacation I picked this up. Big mistake. This is the worst book ever. The writing is SO bad. What kind of teenager talks likes this..."I was in disbelief", "he seemed engrossed in our conversation", "my thoughts were unmanagable", "I tried to sound indifferent", "he was chivalrous", "from a perefrial view",
"I swiftly looked away". Caaa-monnnnn!!! Who talks like this....let alone a teenager! How in the world did this get so popular. And made into four movies no less. It just goes to show that you don't have to have any talent...you just have to hit the right thing at the right time. AWFUL...
books are my passion. I love my friends and family. My spiritual well being grows each day because I am living a healthy lifestyle.
This is my first young adult novel. To enjoy this book you must first believe in the story and in vampires and know what is going to unfold. I love the fact the story was very high school. There is such a vulnerability to coming of age. The characters were well define.Best part no curse words or sex just pure love!!!
Edward. He had to fight his violent urges to save the one he truly loves.
She was the perfect Bella. Her pitch and emotion was right on>
What moved me the most was when they were in the biology classroom
highly recommend !!!!!
Meyers stories are a "good read" and Kadushin does a wonderful job these bringing the characters to life. What a mind to invision a world with "vegertian" vampires.
Its nice to have another fairytale to repalce Harry and his friends. Time and money well spent.
Love the story, but wasn't crazy about Ilyana Kadushin as the "reader". I am not sure why, just something about her voice doesn't "fit" the Twilight story. But I am glad I got it and will listen to it again. Can't wait to get New Moon now!
Yes, because it was so enrapturing.
I couldn't possibly pick just one. Let me just say this: The movie only shows about 25% of what is in the book. I think my favorite part of this book is the description of how Jacob and Bella actually fell in love (which the movie doesn't describe).
Running through the woods
Yes!!!! I couldn't, but I would have.
I am 30 years old, and don't read teen literature. But I couldn't put this book down.
I would considered them to be equal.
When Bella and Edward were in the meadow.
There were two characters that stood out they were Bella and Edward. IIyana changed her voice reflection when reading their words and thoughts. That was my favorite part of llyana's work.
