The narrator's voice for the Twilight series has absolutely no relation to Bella's character. Her voice and cadence are completely wrong, like having Martin Scorcese read a Jane Austen novel. Just read the books, they are so much better that way.
I am 42 and still found the story very enjoyable. I didn't want to stop listening. Sure, I would have prefered that things got a little more... adult. However, I enjoyed it so much that I am moving on to the second book in the saga and happily anticipting Bella's story to continue to unfold. Oh! I am not sure why one reviewer found the narrators voice unpleasant. I happened to LOVE the narrators voice.
I try to read everything that my daughter reads so that we have things to talk about. I am so glad she gave in to peer pressure at school and read this series. I enjoyed the trip to Washington a little too much. Now that i've finished the first three, I miss Jacob... I hope he comes back to me in the next book. Don't miss this series, it's too much fun.
If I could give this zero stars, I would. The writing is TERRIBLE, the plot is nonexistent, and the main character is just a Mary Sue. I couldn't even get halfway through it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even my worst enemy.
The was by far the worst book I have ever read in my life! I finally caved in and read it because everyone, and I mean, EVERYONE was giving it such rave reviews, and I am so sorry I went against my better judgment. This sappy romance is so poorly written that I can't imagine anyone with a fourth grade education or higher would find it entertaining in the least. It was completely mindless and had no literary value whatsoever. There is absolutely no greater waste of time that I'm aware of on the planet. If no stars were an option I would have chosen it.
Great story, it has many details, without losing the thread. Love story and enjoyable for both parts.
The description of the vampires is so unique and elegant, I think it's part of the success.
Ilyana Kadushin narrates this story beautifully and I am currently listening to the 2nd book (New Moon) and it's great too.
And the Lion felt in love with the Lamb
Suitable for teenagers and grown ups (probably up to mid 30's)
I loved that this wasn't just a typically love story, it was exciting and thrilling.
This book is unique, can't compare to another.
I like the way she makes her voice different with each character. It makes the book more interesting. Like I'm listening to more then just her but her at the same time.
The way Edward was with Bella on the beginning, cold and mean. I was almost annoyed and bewildered with her.
This was a great book, worth the listen.
Awesome, entertaining, more
She brings another dimension to the story. I've read the book, but with her narration I get a different set of feelings and outlook on story
