Edge of your seat of Rapp's next adventure!
Guidall's narration brings Rapp into a 3-D force. Excellent as always.
As a huge fan of these books, I feel that Congress should leave Gen. Petraus alone! He was just under covers.
You are the sum of what you read!
This is a tight paced and fully fleshed-out story regarding the problem with solving a problem diplomatically. Sometimes you just need a hero like Mitch that will get things done!
The story did not have a dull moment. Sometimes to adequately explain a situation or political atmosphere Flynn's stories have lengthy narratives. Not in Protect and Defend! It's quick paced and an absolutely enjoyable, suspenseful read or listen.
Completely. The story is just well written. The characters are believable and Mitch is always on time!
I am very impressed by Guidall. Both my husband and I enjoy his performances. So much so that I search for books that he narrates. I can eventually learn to enjoy a reader, but my husband cannot. Guidall is our absolute favorite performer.
Nonstop action and intrigue.
The Mitch Rapp series is awesome. I typically purchase them as soon as they are available. I don't know how I missed Protect and Defend. It is definitely a favorite.
Mitch Rapp of course. Director Kennedy is next best.
George Guidall is excellent! He made the book believable.
If I could, I would've listened to this in one sitting.
I had some problems with the sound in part 2, but I re-downloaded and it was fine.
As with all his books, this one keeps your attention and leaves you sitting in the driveway wanting to keep on listening.
Mitch Rapp, he finds a way to become an alter ego.
Yes, He's enjoyable to listen to and makes the book all the better as a result.
Better than average, probably a solid 7.5 out of 10.
Mitch Rapp of course.
Listened to American Assassin first. Loved it. Next was Transfer of Power and you wouldn't know it was the same author. Narrator was probably to blame for much but the story dragged along and the dialogue was often lame. Narrator has limited vocal range so many characters have very unreal and annoying voices, unless you like Thurston Howell III. My wife completely agreed. Then listened to this book and it was excellent. Fast paced, very interesting story and well performed. Well worth the time and expense.
The audio edition is very good.
The torture moment
a bit to intense in parts to listen to all in one.
Like I said above a classic vince flynn...I would really reccomend it to all lovers of the genre.
These books should never be read by anyone other than George Guidall. He makes these stories and the characters come to life. Mitch Rapp is so much more than a hero...he is invincible, conscientous, honorable, and ruthless with his enemies. A very fun book to listen to while taking road trips. Engaging.
Loved the reader!
This installment's storyline rates a C+ compared to the previous books. Could have been much better. Superficial character development. Reminded me of empty calories.
The scenes involving the Iranian Minister of Information.
Have come to expect more from Vince Flynn. Hopefully the next book will be better than this one.
Mitch Rapp is an awesome lead character. I don't think I'll ever get enough of this guy. This novel was full of intense action and drama. It was just great!
