gore suddenly got very descriptive in this book. "flesh bone sinew tendon muscle " get used quite often. not bad tho nice concept.
tho the book never explains what the fuck the law of nines is. thumbs up
I loved this whole series but if your looking for a continuation of Richards story you won't find it here. This is a modern fantasy. Well written and a good story, not AS good as the first (what NINE?) books but good all the same. Worth a listen.
I liked the book because it is in the sword of truth series. If this was a stand alone book or if I hadn't read the sword of truth series it wouldn't be worth the read at all. It was an OK book.
Only if they read the series first and if they didn't have any other books they wanted to read at the time. It's not a complete waste of time, there are just so many other books out there that are better! It was OK.
I would be willing to try listen to a follow up.
interesting somewhat predictable
liked how it linked back to sword of truth didn't like the pro-gun leanings
when Alex and Jax break out of the asylum
adventure, love, violence and a little magic
I agree with another reviewer that if you haven't read Sword of truth, then this book might not make much sense.
One of the best audio books I've listened to.
Good plot. It kept me interested and wanting to know more
I like to read books and also listen to them. Deakins started slow because I had never heard him before, but he did an excellent job with the emotion of the book.
I don't know about the other reviewers that didn't like this one but I did. I would kinda like to see a sequel actually.
