I liked the book because it is in the sword of truth series. If this was a stand alone book or if I hadn't read the sword of truth series it wouldn't be worth the read at all. It was an OK book.
Only if they read the series first and if they didn't have any other books they wanted to read at the time. It's not a complete waste of time, there are just so many other books out there that are better! It was OK.
I would be willing to try listen to a follow up.
interesting somewhat predictable
liked how it linked back to sword of truth didn't like the pro-gun leanings
when Alex and Jax break out of the asylum
adventure, love, violence and a little magic
I agree with another reviewer that if you haven't read Sword of truth, then this book might not make much sense.
One of the best audio books I've listened to.
Good plot. It kept me interested and wanting to know more
I like to read books and also listen to them. Deakins started slow because I had never heard him before, but he did an excellent job with the emotion of the book.
I don't know about the other reviewers that didn't like this one but I did. I would kinda like to see a sequel actually.
This one was simply a money maker. The blood may appeal to some, but it was disgusting second only to the repetition of e...v...e...r...y. concept and the vapid love story. Good grief! I have read better young adult fiction that was advertised as such. DON"T waste your money!
It was ok, but the narrator's voice and the repetition made me itch to have him get on with it.
As a visually impaired person, it has always been difficult for me to read books in print, but Audible makes books enjoyable again!
Absolutely. The story is great! I geeked when they made Sword of Truth references!
I loved Alex. He was developed really well.
No. i haven't, but i like him.
No. i thought the book was amazing though!
I did not expect for the story of the novels from sword of truth series to real life. Its was a seamless transition from my side of view.
Yes!! There were moments were i thought i knew was gonna happen but was wrong but once i saw what did happen i looked back on the sword of truth novels and it made perfect sense.
no i have not heard him before. he read the line very well though i was surprised it was not the same reader as the old sword of truth novels but it was not a disappointment.
Yes it was, i stayed awake several night far later then i should have. not the best way to be fully alert at work but worth in.
I knew this was a book of Terry Goodkind but i didn't know it was a far distant future sequel. very surprising and it was more then welcome.
I enjoyed this book. The narrator was very good. The story kept getting more and more complicated as it went on; however, some 'endings' were a bit anti-climatic to me, but overall I liked it.
