Very long book - or rather, audible book. Didn't think I would enjoy it but it was a great story. The beginning for me - again, due to not thinking I would enjoy it, felt boring and slow but soon after couldn't wait till the next time I was in my car to continue the story. It's a cross of Skyrim and World of Warcraft but not too much magic. In the end ... very good story. Ending was fine ... wish it continued. Anne Flosnik did a great job voicing the story line. Loved her accent and multiple characters although the voice of the dragon somewhat - only somewhat, annoyed me.
This is the first book that I stopped reading after the first download. Take the sex out and the book would still be boring, just shorter.
The excessively long and excessively detailed sex scenes detract from an otherwise good story.
It starts out great and I loved the writing. The narrator is great too.
Unfortunately the story degenerated into rather pointless graphic and laughable sexual acts. Naamah's kiss basically means the gift of effing.
I stopped listening to this title halfway into the tale because it seemed like a waste of my time.
It had such potential too; I was disappointed that it took such a turn. I'm no prude, far from it and when I want erotica, I'll purchase from the erotica section. If you want to read about Moirin's sexual education, then you won't be disappointed.
If like me you want some substance you're better off reading something by Robert Jordan or David Eddings.
I read the book, because it was the only thing I had with me for a fairly long plane ride, and there was a crying child in the seat in front of me so the ear buds helped to limit the external noise. I would not have purchased the book had I known how explicit and the orientation of the sex. Also - the ending left you in the air. The narrator began with an accent with a near eastern flavor and morphed into a pseudo Scots accent.
I honestly had to give this book one star. I tried listening to the first two downloads and I was bored stiff. The sexuality did not bother me as much as the reoccurring question of "What's the point"? As you listen, you really want something to take off and happen, and you end up listening to someone's life step by step, not that thrilling! If you are into eroticism , then this is your book!
