So far, this is my least favorite of all the books. It is enjoyable and the story line holds details necessary for the future.
Loved it. Very hot and steamy. Some harsh language thru out the series and some graphic killing scenes, but if that does not bother you I recommend the series.
I didn't like this book it was dragging along nothing special happened, I was bored this was my least favorite in the series.
This is my First time listening to an audio book and was not sure what to expect. Phury is my least favorite brother and thought that for sure i would lose interest, however narrator Jim Frangione is excellent for executing the perfect tone for this book. I was pleasantly surprised on how it peeked my interest from reading to listening.
Save your time and money, go read Jim Butcher.
Couldn't get through this 'born to serve' claptrap, so if the last two-thirds of the book somehow make up for the sadism and sexism of the first part, someone else will have to tell me. I want my time and money back!
Sometimes a person reads an author and is so captivated by that author a need to devour everything they have ever written arises. This is one of those rare and precious authors. The Black Dagger series is worth a read and a re-read. She crosses boundaries of age, sex and violence with delicate precision. To say this series of books are frantic page turners is not even adequate to express how my friends (and me) were not able to put these books down to do normal life stuff. Enjoy and share with others this fabulous set of books from this extremely talented author.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Phury is just as damaged as Zadist was... Worse I think actually... The best story is between Qhuinn Blay and John...
Ok so the intro is promising then...it goes down south quickly! I didn't know if I was reading Catcher in the Rye or reading the screenplay of American Psycho. Seriously. I have gotten though about two hours. I need therapy now.
