"Can't get enough of Eve Dallas💖💖"
This one has a holiday theme to it and a nasty criminal she has to catch. I love all of these characters and so look forward to the next book.
"Continuing tales of Eve Dallas, Lt "
The author gets better and better with each volume. Her friends and acquaintances are becoming more familiar to the reader as he or she moves through the professional and personal aspects of their lives and inter relationships.
Each book becomes required reading for me after the first few pages and carries me through to the end of the final chapter. Highly recommend this series to all .
"exciting to the end."
I really love the way that Eve Dallas and Peabody work together. I like the way that Rourke helps with the investigations. it's a little rough around the edges but it's probably really worse than that in real life always enjoyable.
"Holiday in Death"
I’m obsessed with this series. I had forgotten how much I love All the characters and being able to listen to them on audio just makes it even better.
"Excellent"
Amazing series. From the creative writing to the narrative, you just couldn't ask for more from an audible book.
"Does might make Right?"
I have been buying the In Death series books since I first listened to one. Although, not in order since the first one was at random. I think the author has done a great job with really varied characters and they are brought out by the narrator with such consistency from story to story. I also enjoy how we the reader/listener get to see the characters and relationships evolve. I've become accustomed to the by play between Roarke (not sure if it's spelled correctly) and Dallas... but this time Imo he was too high handed in his determination to care for Eve when he feels what he thinks is right. Okay, she may have run herself ragged working the case. And I could almost accept how he handled it, but I was spitting mad at him for HOW he did it. Then what he allowed to happen to Eve while she was unconscious, in my mind was unconscionable. That he knows how she feels and rides roughshod right over them instead of respecting his wife. Just because she forgives him afterwards doesn't mean I have. Might does not make Right. The story continued and concluded successfully (that isn't giving away anything secret) but even after, I am disappointed with Roarke. Eve is no nonsense and outwardly tough and savvy. And she is! But also so vulnerable. I wasn't eight and it wasn't my father ... and it's been many, many years but my experience still effects me. So I feel a connection to Eve and that's why I felt about this story the way I do. I now have almost the entire series except not all the .5 shorter ones and have started back at the first to see and experience all that develops. BTW I am still not speaking to Roarke. ;-)
"Development"
I love this series. I really enjoy how the main character Lt. Eve Dallas begins to have family and how she begins to love not only her husband but others. Lt. Eve Dallas's emotional growth makes her character so slive and real.
"Great story but offensive language"
The author is obviously gifted and crafts innovative, suspenseful plots. However, a recurring concern I have is the frequent use of foul language, in particular using God's name in vain. This adds nothing to the plot. denigrates an otherwise admirable character (Lt. Dallas) and is offensive to many readers/listeners like myself.
