"Scoopy-Doo like murder mystery"
I bought the book on the $4.95 sale so I cannot complain, it is mildly entertaining and softens my commute to work, I am about 80% thru the audiobook. The murder investigation does not seem realistically told, I do not think this is an area of expertise of the author, many of the characters are Navy Seals but here again the author does not have much inner knowledge of the seals either. The book is filled with child care and romance scenarios which seem to be the authors knowledge base, I have not learned anything from this book but it is worth the money I paid for it, as I am waiting for my next credits to come.
The narration was good.
I'm loving audio books more each day-being able to walk the dog, do the dishes or keep an eye on grandkids in the pool-all while listening to a book is great. My favorite genres are mystery/romance, some paranormal and lots of Science Fiction.
"Brockmans "Troubleshooters" series novel"
Not one of the best in the series, still this is typical of Brockmans plot lines and was on sale for a day. Brockman writes great sex into her books and the performances here were good but not dynamite. Still, I'm glad I purchased the audiobook and did enjoy it.
Recommended for fans of Brockman but not of those who dislike graphic sex in their books.
"Ridiculous"
What a dissapointment. I could barely pay attention to the story and the narration was so,
so INCOMPETENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Love the series- But Narration.. Not So Much"
Yes. I love books that contain relationships between people from different races/backgrounds. Brockmann's series is definitely entertaining. My favorite pairing is Alyssa and Sam, but there are some other good ones throughout as well. Although this title wasn't my favorite in the series (I was greatly amused by the love/hate banter between Alyssa and Sam in past works), Brockmann writes an entertaining story with a good balance of sexy romance and suspenseful adventure.
Not at the 'edge of my seat', but I didn't really expect that going into the series in the first place. She does seem to know a good deal about the military life and it was an exciting listen...
Deborah Hazlett for female narration for sure! As for the male...oh, I don't know....anyone other than the one who did this one?! I felt that the emotions that the narrators were trying to convey were terribly forced and I didn't care for the lack of 'smoothness' in their delivery..sorry.
Just had an extreme reaction to the narration...akin to nails on a chalkboard...again, sorry.
Give me all your hot, sexy romance BUT must be a smart read too.
"Should be labeled "Gay Subject Matter""
I read heterosexual romance novels only. I love my gay friends, but do not care to have the social and politically charged subject woven into my "mindless, NON-political" relaxation romance readings. I do, however like the narrator combination.
I will make sure to read Ms. Brockmann's reader reviews before downloading more books in the series.
I do appreciate when Audible lists the sexual preferences in their reviews. Honestly would like to see some type of "sexual content" rating from sweet romance, steamy to explicit. And please list when there is gay content for those of us who allow our young people to listen to what we would think is an appropriate romance novel.
"Hot Pursuit"
One of the most convoluted story lines I have ever experienced. Characters include a gay FBI agent married to a male movie star, an ex FBI agent married to an ex navy seal, and a gay active duty navy seal. To confuse the issue the ex FBI agent is called to New York to provide private security to a newly elected state represenative being stalked by a serial killer. As this takes place while she and her husband have in tow their six month old child. It was the most dreadful story that has ever been concocted.
"Can't go lower than 1 star"
I would give it a zero if possible, After 8 years as a audible listener this is the first book I deleted from my personal libary. I thought I had listened to some poor books, but this set the bar so low I can't imagine it being passed. Tune in Air American if you can find it in sted of listening to this book, at least there is a chance of being entertained.
"embarrassed it is in my library"
trash plot only for the sake of soap opera draum mushy explicit sex.

"tired of the liberal preaching!!!"
Earlier stories are better without the liberal preaching!! I like to read (listen to) romantic suspense for escapism! WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL MS. BROCKMANN THAT SHE IS NOT GOING TO MAKE ANYONE HAVE AN APIFINY! PLEASE TELL HER TO GET BACK TO WRITING ROMANTIC SUSPENSE AND STOP SPOUTING SERMONS TO HER READERS!!!
