Lunacy--this should be the title of Coulter's book. I listened to this thing out of interest to see what the woman had to say. Now a realize she's in it to make a buck from those more interested in partisan politics, than in the long term survival of the United States. If it is Treason to question the Bush administration regarding each of his intelligence points that have proved false, I really worry what shall become of this country.
It makes me sad that, ever since 9/11, we are rapidly losing sight of the simple idea that freedom of speech is a fundamental, and integral, concept of democracy. To brand anyone who doesn't agree with you as a traitor is to deny one of the simplest and most beautiful principles of this country. I thought that was one of the things we are supposedly fighting, and dying, for in Iraq. Or am I wrong?
More tedious preaching to the choir by Xenophobia, Warrior Princess. Her fans will undoubtedly love it, but anyone with a three-digit IQ is unlikely to find her arguments convincing.
The best thing about Audible's version of this book is that it is abridbed so there is less of it to have to listen too.
Anyone who suggests their IQ is above 3 digits is either deluded or alien. DMather I think a demand for fact is annulled by your own laughable claims.
Dmather says "I have more than a three-digit IQ - I can distinguish facts from fiction. I can tell the difference between unsupported attacks (such as the above) and factual, well-supported arguments."
The best thing about this audiobook I can say is that since it is abridged, it contains fewer lies and less hate than the unabridged print version.
I could only take about 30 minutes of this book before my gag reflex was too much to handle (and I consider myself fairly conservative). I found the book full of name calling (democrats are liars, unpatriotic, hate their country, communist sympathizers, etc.) with very little analysis explaining why the republican view was correct. The arguments that were presented were based on extreme circumstances that could have easily occurred in either party. If you are very conservative and believe strongly in a great, left-wing conspiracy, you'll love this book. In my experience, however, conspiracy theories are advanced when there's nothing left to argue.
I'm a staunch independent, open to all points of view, but Coulter is a blatant dullard. Her assertion that anyone who doesn't back their president 100% when a country is going to war is a traitor, or guilty of treason, is downright moronic. This woman's books just keep getting more and more inane. Save your money.
This book is being slammed by people who have not read it. Do not pay attention to them. It is a well written, thoughtful, intelligent history of the left's activities in opposition to the interests of our country. Is it treason? Without question. Read it!
