There I was, casting around for a subscription to try out. I quickly found that daily casts are difficult to keep up with. Your Mac Life fits the bill. It's amusing, educational and fun. I enjoyed listening to it on the tube, communting on foot and even while hoovering.
I find I look forward to each week's episode. This is information that every Mac owner needs. Thanks.
This is a very enjoyable program. I have been listening to it for over a year, and I have never come away from this show without learning something new, or smiling at least once. Shawn, Jay, Sly and all the rest of this menagerie make an entertaining ensemble that won't talk way over your head, nor treat you like an imbecile.
This program is not only fun and appealing, it offers alot of useful information for the MAC User. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars, their is always room for improvement. Don't expect the same old boring tech show.
Your Mac Life (YML) is a show for all levels of users. It is for people that just bought a Mac for the first time to long time mac heads and the folks in between. The show is first and foremost, funny and it is gives the listeners a heads-up on what is happening in the Mac community, from the latest games and programs to excellent coverage of Mac World Conferences. There are in depth interviews of many different software developers and Managers from Apple. It is well worth the subscription price. I am pround to support the show.
O.K. Shawn, I did it. Now where's my free iPod for doing this review?
If you are a Mac person, you've GOT to listen to this show. Informative, funny, and a great listen. Makes a long trip seem short, makes a boring wait entertaining. If you can't listen to the live show, download and enjoy.
As a long time listener of this show, I can't stress enough how wonderful it is to be able to take it along with me on long commutes, exhasperating drives, and even a walk through the park. Everything You Want to Know about being a Mac user in the present age and more is presented in an informative, casual, friendly way that can quickly become highly addictive. The knowledgeable hosts, guests, and crew speak to the Mac user in all of us. Learn about the latest products. Preview some exciting applications. Learn the story behind some of the newsbreaking events in Apple history, as it happens. And how many other downloadable shows actually give you the opportunity to win great prizes? Your Mac Life is a show about the community of Mac users and how we use our Macs in our daily lives. And the community extends to a wild and fun interactive forum, a mailing list that can answer even the lamest sounding question, and a weekly "Shout Out" section in which the audience is named and congratulated. You can't get more interactive than that. Highly recommended for the new Mac users out there, the ones that think they know it all, and the ones that are simply wondering what all the fuss is about.
I enjoy listening to audiobooks while woking in my shop or around the house -sort of mental multitasking.
Much of Your Mac Life I find useless to me. However, there is so much content each week that I always find a lot of useful material also. For any Mac user, this is worthwhile content to download onto your ipod every week, and listen as you have time.
Overall, I recommend it.
Okay, I love my Mac as much as the next guy, but even I can't sit through this stuff. I can tell that there is a wealth of information for the very interested, but I prefer to find such information in quick browse magazine format. I will be very happy when this subscription runs out.
