I saw the Starz last year and this. I had to get the books because I can't stand waiting a week for the next episode. Now, I'll see how closely they fallow the book.
Some hours it's tears. Others, it is the best love story. I love Scottish speech patterns. 😂😄
I've listened to the first two books in the Outlander series. The first one was really good. It had a good mix of romance and action. The second (Dragonfly in Amber) was ok. it was interesting but could get boring at times. This one Voyager was back to being just as exciting if not even more so than the first. So far, I've enjoyed Voyager the most. It has a riveting plot and Gabaldon does an amazing job of describing a scene, that you feel like you're experiencing the moment.
Definetely. It's so well performed and keeps you guessing.
You never know exactly what is going to happen next. Gabaldon manages to keep everything fresh, new, and unexpected. So many twists I was not expecting.
Davina is fabulous. Every character unique and genuine. You can barely tell it's the same person voicing each one!
Hard to say. Claire most likely. She would have so much to tell!
This series is so incredible. Once you've started on Outlander, how could you not continue? I'm in love with Davina Porter, the reader. Top notch.
Let me start off by saying how much I absolutely love love love Jamie and Claire. I'm rather obsessed.Loved the first two books. I heard really good reviews about this book but for me it was rather disappointing. I still can't get over the twenty years apart. That's a long time and personally think that was unnecessary and won't forgive Diana for doing that. I could live with ten but not twenty.I know that's how it's written but still saddens me.Even though this is beautifully written Diana seems to ramble on page after page about unimportant nonsense and briefly writes about the more important scenes. I just don't understand. I have read articles and watched interviews with Ms. Gabaldon and I'm pretty sure she says she just writes and doesn't plan the books out no template, no outline, nothing but what she has stored in her head.I'm unsure if I'm(sadly)going to continue reading this series. I haven't heard good reviews about the next book. It hurts to say that since I love the characters but I just don't like the way the story has played out. Some scenes are good but then there's 30 plus minutes of descriptive rambling. I found myself pushing the skip button many times to get to the good parts. I might give the next book a go but still unsure and very disappointed on how their story has been laid out.I will forever love Jamie and Claire and all the characters.
