Say something about yourself!
Davina Porter is an excellent narrator and brings the story to life. This installment of the Outlander series was exciting though more difficult to swallow. As if you didn’t realize by a third of the way through the story that if Jamie told Clare to go left she was most certainly going to go right and cause a problem. Overall it was a good read – thanks again to Davina – and some interesting twists. Interesting how small the world turned out to be - when it was so much bigger then than it is now. It is fiction after all, and a good escape.
I enjoyed listen to the Voyager very much. Hearing how the words were pronounced. You can read to fast and miss things in the plot and story, but you can only listen as fast as the reader is reading. A very enjoyable series and audio book. Can not wait until they are all on audio book as well as her two other book she is writing on the series as well.I have listen to these while we went on a trip to Nova Scotia making the trips long drive a lot more bearable. I listen to these while I weave and spin, a different pleasure. So glad I found this site and downloaded the books I love to read that I now listen to THANK YOU!!!
This book, as with the others in the Outlander series, has kept my interest from start to finish. If you liked the others you will like this one too.
This is fantastic. You must first read Outlander the first in the series otherwise it will make little sense. Davina Porter as narrator is one of the best I have ever heard. Although- not my favorite of the series- I was hooked! Fantastic character developement (again- must read the series in order) I paid full price for this and was not disappointed!
It just doesnt't get ANY better than this! Loved the entire series!! Read it once and then bought the entire unabridged series on audio! That solidfied what an EXCELLENT series this is! To hear Jamie's scottish brogue is heart melting
I read Voyager several years ago and loved it. However I found the narrator to be too old for the material, I also felt the narration way too slow and found myself fast forwarding at times.
I did not finish listening to it.
Lord John Grey.
No. I did not like her reading of the story and that is why I did not finish. I do not think she did a good job of differentiating the various characters.
As an audiobook, a different reader. I enjoy the Outlander series very much but do not think it is irresistible - it has issues and is in need of a better content editor.
