I loved this book! What can i say it was great. I loved how it switched back and forth in time. I like the whole Briana Roger thing that's going on. You get alot more background on what happened with Claire and Frank and their motivations and what happened in the years after Clair came back. I think just the way this book it written is very unique. Lots of info about characters in this book. A little bit of mystery too!
Used to read classic lit for pleasure of well-written prose. Now, with MS, it's thrillers, courtroom/police dramas, and adventure to escape!
Writing the same review for all of the books... First, what an incredibly talented author! The time travel, the romance, the harrowing situations, the adventures... what's not to love?! My only regret is that the next books after Drums of Autumn are abridged, and I just won't do abridged. Will have to wait it out, but it will be hard. As long as these books are, I never tired of listening to them, and were always wanting more when they were finished!
This book accompagnied me several month and I just loved it. In the beginning I thought it might very long, but in the end I only hoped I would never reach its end.
If you are a fan of the Outlander series, you will not be let down by this book. I personally love the series, even though I dont read, or listen to many romances. Yes, there is the "typical" love scenes, but there is sooooooo much more to these characters and these books than just the sex.
They are wonderful, and if you can get past the cheesy "bodice ripping" scenes and enjoy the story, you will love the series.
Davina Porter brings characters to life like no other and Gabaldon's characters are spectacular. I've read and listened to this several times and am about to launch it for one more delicious experience. DO read/listen to the whole series. Betcha can't read just once!
Everytime I read Diana I am reminded of what an amazing author she is. I truly think she is in a class by herself. Outlander is one of the most powerful books I have ever read. Voyager is my second favorite. Davina Porter is an amazing Narrator. I'm glad she went back to her for "Echo in the Bone."
