You definitely have to be in a certain place in your life and soul's growth to connect with this book, but if it calls to you, make sure to read / listen. My 11-year old son is a very old and wise soul and really loved this book, saying he couldn't wait for the audio to be released on the Author's new book, "Waiting for Autumn". (Maybe I'll have him read it to me instead of waiting, as I'm excited too to see how this story progresses.) The only thing I would change on the next audio is having a different reader (but we didn't get hung up on that and enjoyed the story immensely.)
I see the author has a new version of "Summer's Path" coming out in April, 2010 and we will look forward to seeing and hearing what's been added. Thanks Scott!
This is no more than an attempt to brainwash the listener into another's beliefs. It is incredible how many people, in this story, have the ability to tune their previous lives and all as if it was totally natural. I enjoy a well written story even if it is very hard to believe, I even watch those style of stories on TV, but this is poorly written with the same scenes happening to different people/animals. Sorry to be negative but this is not a story rather an advertisement for an extremely strange life belief.
I loved this book,if I could I would have everyone read it.I looked to see if you had any other books by this writer but you didn't. Can't wait to read the next book.
Unlike most of the other reviewers I liked the narrator. I think Diane Ray did a fair job with what she had to work with. The book on the other hand was disappointing.
I thought that the first third was promising. But, after that the book became just too weird for my taste.
With all of the concern for his wife in the first part of the book, he just leaves her and fakes his death to become a dog with his guardian angel taking his body?????
I enjoyed reading this book so much that I also downloaded the audio version of it and listen to it again. I would like to thank the author and the publisher for making this book available for free. This is a very interesting novel that also teach life lessons.
I just kept waiting for the story to get to the point and just as that happened it, Unfortunately, it ended and left me wanting to know more. The narrator has a lot to be desired. Her voice is too mono-toned and she should not be doing male voices.
The book got me thinking about what baggage I my be holding on to.
This is truely a good read. It had me crying, In a good way. I truely loved this book Didn't like the ending. But it's an ending that forces you to read the second book. So for marketing i can understand that. I'm 100% Christian and still found this book a great read.
