If you are ready for a non-dual experience of life, then Eckhart Tolle will help you really get it. He is extremely intelligent but does not over-intellectualize. He keeps things simple but not over-simple. He is also funny and compassionate. As infants, we were always living in the now. This is our natural state. Tolle helps us get back there and see how we all live in a society that conditions us to stay out of the now
I like quiet walks, live in a lovely part of QLD I enjoy these books as background or a good listen, happy listening .
LOVE HIS STYLE, HIS HUMOUR IS SO DRY IT'S FUNNY IN ITSELF, KNOWLEDGEABLE MAN HAVE TO BE IN THE MOOD FOR THIS LISTEN, YES,IT'S GREAT
Foreign voices become dear friends, whispering in my ear. Some last long after the story has ended, heard, then, by all whom I touch.
I'd listen to a New Earth or Power of Now first, but Tolle's message is always on point and invaluable.
His occasional humour
Eckhart Tolle is the most real individual of the Spiritual teachers, yet he is able to reach the core of every human existence, directing you to that place of being which will allow you to find your awakened state, if you are ready. Findhorn is a delightful very grounded, and productive listen if you are Spiritually motivated. It would be a great introduction to Eckhart Tolle and Spirituality.
I have heard of Findhorn before and thought I'd give this a go. I was looking for some inspiration and found Echharts words quite comforting.
He talks about the process of detaching oneself from the ego and finding true hapiness by experiencing the moment.
Personally, this wasn't for me, but I would recommend it if spirituality is your kind of thing
This audiobook is so poorly recorded that it was impossible to get to the valuable bits if there were some. In addition to audience noise, you get a heavily accented stream of rambling monologue. If you have to listen to something, and silence isn't available, this book would still be a poor choice.
