I mostly listen on my commute. I love Sci-fi, mystery thrillers, vampire love stories, great girlfriend stories and political thrillers.
Great story about the lasting bonds of friendship that are formed in college. I'm still dear friends with my college girlfriends, and it made me call them up and tell them how much I appreciate them. The narrator was entertaining and used different voices for each character.
This entire story touched my heart from beginning to end...I spent some sleepless nights not wanting to put off hearing what was next. The characters were outstanding, the story line reminded me of so much of the friends in my life that are new and long lost. Thank you for helping me to remember what true friends really are...
I bought this book several years ago and I tried to read it but because I am the queen of "No Attention Span Theater," I never could get past the first few pages. I was very very surprised. I did not want this book to end and I even cheered out loud at points. Great narrator too. I give this book an A++ I was totally engaged. I wish they'd make a movie!
This book did not capture my attention at all. It was all over the place as far as a story line goes. I felt like I was reading details about characters the entire time. If you like books by zane, sister souljah, eric jerome dickey...then you probably will think this book is just barely okay. I listened because i had already purchased it.
I have listened to and read many books by African American writers, but I think that this is one of my favorites. I laughed, cried, and enjoyed the triumphs of these three ladies. Having been one of 3 sisters in my family, (all close in age), I was able to easily identify with the relationship between these women. GREAT LISTER, I highly recommend this book.
I was unsure about the narration in the first 5 minutes but it really worked. This was funny, sad, and generally entertaining. The characters are really different people and I found myself looking forward to what would happen next. If you like soap operas, you'll love this.
I enjoyed the book. It had lost of real life issues. it doesnt have the best happy ending but a REAL ending. i appreciated the fact that even though the author had the option to make a happy ending and chose not to instead. without telling the ending, i was surprised that did turn out that way. I was very emotional! the book touched me. its a first! thank you. in the closing remarks it did say that the book would touch you if you had feelings (lol) so i guess i do! thanks again Audible for this book.
With such positive reviews I so looked forward to listening to this one. Honestly, I could not wait for it to end. I thought that the characters lacked development and the story line predictable at best.
I enjoyed this book; I found it very entertaining, holding my interest throughout. The characters were an interesting contrast and well developed by the authors.
