If you are looking for a good method of finding inner peace, this is the book for you. AMAZING!
Overall the wisdom in this book is sound, though a little unrealistic, and despite the contradictions the book still holds up. Being a more scientific minded person who has studied Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology I have to say that this book is full of fluff, filler, and good time vibes, however it's a great read if you are a laymen. Don't get me wrong... I still give this book a solid 4 star and I think the overall jist of the 4 agreements is something everyone should follow in striving for self betterment. But I feel that it over simplifies both the human brain and that of society which can lead to not complexity but rather complications. Though the book sort of saves itself by saying to do the best that you can do even if our best changes from day to day.
Peter's voice immediately creates trust and grabs your attention. Every enchanting word is full of magic and listening is an easy, take me by the hand, journey to a very high place. The book, especially for those who have already done some personal "work", is a keeper. It brings huge clarety and resolve into simple daily actions. More than a How To Attain Your Dreams it is a How To BE Your Dreams.
I'm just saying . . .
This book had been on my “Reading Radar" for quite a while-always felt compelled to explore it-It really surpassed any expectation i held prior to being introduced-The authors' ability to convey the Toltec ideology with such timely clarity is very edifying & insightful-very happy I chose 'The Four Agreements' as my Very First Audible Purchase!
This book has some good advise yet nothing earth shattering or profound.
I really do like the meditation at the end though. Iwas listening to it daily and it was great. Good basic principlles to live by.
These rules, agreements, make so much sense. This is something I can really do in my life and make a change. I liked this so much, I had to get more of his work.
It sounds like Danny Trejo speaking. I think you are better off listening to the Power. I was hoping for a lot more but was very disappointed.
