I do enjoy listening to The Prarie Home Companion whenever I can. And I do believe that The News From Lake Wobegon is the highlight of the show. I just don't feel that 20 minutes is worth a subscription credit. For example, you can enjoy an entire hour of This American Life or Car Talk for the same credit - 3 times the enjoyment, assuming you enjoy either show I just mentioned. I would give this a higher rating if there were more content.
This is not the Prarie Home Companion show but only about 10-15 minutes of Garrison's monologues. What a disappointment!
I have been listening to Garison Kieler for over 15 years, now I have a hard time with schedule to tune him in, I was listening to my ipod and than after a brief story of what I would say was about 20 minutes it was over. What happened to the rest of the program? Or is that just a tease? Not a good tease, that is like going to a great restaurant and they bring you out a sample of a very delicious meal and say, "thats it folks". It is not fair to his guest that appear on the show not to be reconized. I have went out and bought CD's in behalf of some of the guest's he has had on his show.
I have been a fan of Garrison Keillor for 15 years, but these days, I never seem to be able to catch "A Prairie Home Companion" on the radio. This audio subscription keeps Lake Wobegon only an iPod click away. Thanks, audible.com !
