I listen to about 2 books every 10 days.I could NOT bring myself to hear this one out. The narrator was so boring I could not get into the book !
I give the narrator a 4.5 but the story is a 3. It had all the makings of a great read but the plot miss-fires a bit to much and is difficult to follow. It's just not very plausable and the author doesn't really explain how the villian tries to pull it off. Still a good read though.
This book was exciting, riveting and really kept my attention. It was a bit predictable but then had a few good twists and turns. I do agree with one of the others here, that the voice of the son was about as annoying as any I've heard in years. even when he was happy he sounded like he was whining and crying. The Mom's wasn't much better. If you can get past that, I thought it was a great read.
I was looking forward to the start of a new series by an author I like. I was hoping for the start of something comparable to the Myron Bolitar series (Coben) or the John Correy series(DeMille). This was nothing close - very dissapointing.
For a series how about start with a little character development - there was very little. Okay he's a cocky ex-special forces guy - got it, but not much else to say. Not a great sense of humor and how about a little romance - zero. He could have hooked up with the sister-in-law or at least started to. At least throw a girlfriend in there.
Not much else needs to be said about the reader different from the other reviews. He was just bad. I'm not giving up on Finder, but I think this series is DOA. Company Man was good. Killer Instinct was awesome (both read by Scott Brick). This just sucked. Don't waste a credit.

Exciting but smacks of racism. Refers to security guard as detailed and thorough..."WHITE retired cop." Are black or Spanish speaking security guards not thorough and detailed?
