Yes. The reader is one of the best female readers i have ever heard. Just the tone and pitch of her voice tells you what is happening in the story.
The first time Clayton and Elena run together
Kelley has 1) done an amazing amount of research, and 2) authored one of the BEST descriptive narratives i have ever read! Her descriptions and story of the pack running, hunting, playing and communicating are amazing.
BITTEN IS THE FIRST BOOK IN "THE OTHERWORLD" SERIES BY KELLEY ARMSTRONG.
IN BITTEN YOU MEET ELENA, CLAY AND JEREMY. THEY ARE WEREWOLVES. ELENA IS THE ONLY FEMALE WEREWOLF AND THE STORY IS TOLD FROM HER POINT OF VIEW. I READ ALL OF THESE BOOKS SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES. HOWEVER IT IS NOT FOR KIDS DUE TO THE VERY ADULT CONTENT.
If your looking for a new twist on supernatural and getting away from the typical vampire route, this is a great series to listen to. Bitten captures your attention by chapter 3 and intrigues to see where Armstrong is going into the future. Bitten sets the stage for rest of the series and is a must!
Kelley Armstrong is just amazing. I like every book she has, and I hope she puts out many more. This is the first book in a series, and I like the series very much. I will warn you, that it is not a normal series, and the characters are switched up often. The series in about the woman of the underworld, and though this first book is mostly about one of those woman, you wont really be hearing much from her in the series again until about book 6. Love the book, Love the series, Love the author, and Love the Narrator. Worth the credit.
It was an interesting take on the werewolf genre and the story line pulls you in as it goes on.
Their first run together behind the house.
Clayton..... just really liked his character though as the series goes on you really begin to admire Elena.
Keep reading this series. I had read this book, and then kinda slid off to others then went to the 2nd book Stolen and then by the time you get to the 3rd book, you are so hooked. I read (well listened) to the entire series in just a couple of days and so forgot about my wifely/motherly chores so beware. It is so very good. Am very disappointed the series is ending this July..... but maybe we can get lucky and Kelly Armstrong will change her mind down the road. YOU WILL VERY MUCH ENJOY!
This first book in the Women of the Otherworld series had me hooked quickly. Elena is enjoyable as a strong, but conflicted main character. She can kick butt when needed but also has enough emotional vulnerability to give her depth and make her likeable. I am looking forward to listening to more of this series.
Shewolf saves day
Twilight's Lea Clearwater meets serial killer
Clayton and Elana have a relationship that off-&-on-again that stands the trials put before it.
Clayton is memorable as the less than civilized 2nd in command and Elana as out of place were-heroine who wishes she were still human.
I kept hoping for a love interest for Jeremy.
yes best book i read or listen scince i grad. form H.S. in 06
nno i havent
elena she reminds me o my gf
This book was slow in the opening. After the first chapter however, itwas one of the best books I've heard in a long time! I jumped through the series following the books Elena stars in. All are great but, this is the best! Men of the Otherworld is also a good book in the series as it explains Clay and Jeremy. (Mostly Clay.)
I'm sarcastic, witty, and full of myself. What more could you ask for?
Not really. I bought this book because I had bought The Gathering and really enjoyed it. I thought there was far too much whine in this story, and I was bored with it rather quick.
Trashed it, and started over.
A story line that didn't bore me.
