Reasonably entertaining story, full potential unrealized and overshadowed by protagonist too angry to allow the story speak. Sex as therapy for anger a dangerous role model.
I really enjoy the In Death series
It was good to see the softer side of Eve Dallas who is normally always so in control and tough
When Eve Dallas was told to hand in her badge and gun.
This book stands out from the normal Dallas fare. The plot is gripping and rather gruesome, but not overdone. I must say though, it is reminds me quite a bit of one of Tess Gerritsen's books - or Tess Gerritsen reminds me of this one... whichever, they are similar. Even so, I didn't figure out who-dun-it until toward the end, and then was still a bit surprised.
As usual, Roarke is fantasy material and the narrator is excellent!
Yes, I'd recommend this book... even more than the previous ones.
Yes seems to be the best series I have read in a long time
The story was interesting and keeps you on the edge of your seat
That is a hard one, if I had to choose 1 then I would go with Eve.
When Peabody,s brother was caught up in the mess
Must read series
Yes, I'd listen to it again. I really enjoy the narration of the in death series.
Mavis because she is fun and unpredictable.
I am into the evolving characters.
Eve is probably my least favorite character.
Every voice was seperate and distinct. I could visualize each one.
Can't wait until I get the next one.
Moved to Stratford Ontario in 2014. Listen to my stories at night in bed mostly. Like narrators that aren't too loud or shrill!
I have only read 2 other books from this series, and I enjoyed them all. However, I found that this one dragged on too long. I was also not as enamoured with the voice of Roarke this time.
The story does leave one thinking about the future of medicine with regards to organ donations and transplants, and the possibilities of people living on forever!
Gritty, sexy, romantic
Ther is always a twist to the endings and great action endings
Always love the character of Peabody
The sarcasm that J D Robb uses is always dry and funny
Anyone who does not like Susan Ericksen as a narrator is not listening well. She makes these books, her characters are rich and each one is individual, makes you appreciate all the nuances of the characters. I have enjoyed all her readings.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
Another excellent addition to the fabulous series. I am enjoying this series so very much. Many thanks J D Robb. :)
Have not read the print version.
The plot was interesting. the relationships between all the characters developed and was believable.
All her performances are outstanding.
One Cop, One Badge and a struggle for both.
