I love AUDIBLE! I never get mad at traffic jams and can listen to many different books, despite my short time.
It's been almost a year ago that I finished listening to this book. I had an iPhone 3gs and had a long commute to my job. I lost daily a little more than one hour in my car. I thought: "I have to do something with my time". I looked at the site and filled a subscription. Then, I downloaded this book. I had it hardcover but never could pass the second rule. With audible I listened, with full concentration, to this great book, to every single rule. I enjoyed a lot. I called my friends to inform them about audible. After one year, I listened to more than 30 titles, and just 2 or 3 that were more or less. Audible is great, so is this book.
This book is amazing! It is a great book to set the foundation for success in all areas of life. Great advice and words of wisdom remain true and consistent throughout time.
I bought this because I have heard how wonderful Napoleon Hill is. He is one of the heros of NLP folk etc. It could have been done in about 10% of the time. testimonials throughout. Yes, he is the originator of some of the self-help movement, and yes the message "get off your butt and work" is one that is needed to be heard. But, it doesn't take this long to say that!
Very well presented. These Lessons should be learned by all and specially all the entrants to the University and Colleges. Very invaluable information and counsel is contained in these lessons for any one who wants to build himself up in character and personality. Although the information is age old it is still applicable in modern times and will always be applicable. One needs courage and perseverance to go through these lessons and apply them in their daily lives.
If you are willing to listen and accept the author's ramblings about things metaphysical then this book is for you.
After listening to the first hour or so i gave up.
I hope that I just did not read the summary good enough and that others read it fully before spending money/credits on this book.
I did try to find a review on Amazon.com, which I do with all the titles i purchase, but this appears to be audio only as there is no book that is reviewed at the time I purchased this from Audible.
Maybe the content changes in later chapters but I am already not wanting to hear the rest. I am betting that with all the pushing of the belief in ESP, brain-linking, and the etherial energies in the early portion of the audio content, that there is no way that the author will not pull every 'law' of success back to a basis of metaphysics.
I guess I should have researched the author and not the book title.
No. Was left with the impression of very outdated philosophy.
This book is extremely outdated. Some points might still be relevant today but the story line and the references made are much to old to relate or reference. Extremely long with irrelevant information.
This audio book is an extensive analysis of the book Think and Grow Rich. It is the longest audio book that I've ever heard but be patient, and if you have the chance, I strongly recommend having a notebook wherein you can write some ideas, thoughts and why not, mottoes.
