Lisa Gardner is messed up. This book is really good, but creepy creepy creepy. Did I say creepy. You want to take a shower and scrub yourself after you listen. I don't know how she thinks of these things. Its really good, but doesn't leave you feeling too good. Great narration - makes it even creepier.

For sure, however it would depend on my friends personality, I would gauge what they watch on tv. If they only watch love stories and comedies, then ABSOLUTELY NOT hahaha. You would probably find THEM curled up in a fetal position in the corner.

Absolutely, All of the characters had something going on. The intense situations, the twists the innocence and evil of the characters. Situations where help is so close but so far.

They really capture the characters voices. Amazing, narration almost like listening to a great movie.

Again, I don't get why this question is asked, I have never found anything to laugh or cry about. Cringe, say "Oh God" in total horror for the victims absolutely.

I wish more books are created and converted into audio like this. Lisa Gardner is one of the greatest thriller writer in my humble opinion. After listening to this audiobook, I just want to feel grateful about my life and said a little prayer for the children who are in real-life unspeakably abuse. I hope that the banality of heroism supersede the banality of evil in human beings.

It was very sad to me. that what the children went thru and what they turn out to be. That every thing the sick sexual predator does to a child kills them even if they survive.

This is my number One listen to book, so far......just loved the story and all the characters in it...creepy great read! The narration is this book is awesome!

The abuse was described WAY too graphically and left me feeling absolutely disgusted and saddened.

yes i was so unprepared for this listen the plot on multi levels a true thriller with deep human suffering in so many different ways .a parent worst fears coming true

very well read and keeps you interested the voices of each character was notably different and at times very creepy and gut wrenching awesome performance

all I can say is wow this book in great detail gives you a view into the world of a predator and the process of the victims breaking also the victims will to survive in unimaginably depravity in circumstance day and night. How Horrible these children endure in fear confusion and human debasement the predators are pure evil and prey on helpless children it really makes me thank God this has not happened to anyone in my Life personal note however it is just this week 3 victims have be rescued from a 10 year house of horrors and one of the victims gave birth to the predators child a Real Issue and a Horrible Reality for Thousands of Abducted children that are lost and abused who do not make it back home and we never know who are neighbors really are very scary indeed Lisa Gardner Really put in the work on this book this by far is the Best Read of her work yet I will never forget this Book great writing great read and really makes you think that if you think this couldn't happen in your community it probably has and will again very scary world we live in these perverts are everywhere in our schools online in our places of worship and in child care centers worst of all waking up to find your child not in his or her bed after you tucked them in last night!!
